Seems as though he wont be racing again, has a tendon injury according to reports.
Shame as looked as though he may have a good season this season and come on from an impressive last season.
Hope everything is ok though.
December 26, 2007 at 21:29 #131981Picked it up before the race judging by the walk he took in the market!
December 27, 2007 at 02:00 #132016Never in a million years David….sorry but that’s a silly and very cruel thing to say…..trust me on this…no jockey would even take him to the start let alone start the race if he had a leg.
This very sad news for the yard, especially his lad.
Jubilations turned to tears once again. The owners will be devastated, my heart goes out to them.
December 27, 2007 at 02:39 #132018You’ll have to put a massive ‘spoken in jest’ next to any such comment next time dj, just so it’s clear (as it probably was to 99% of the forum).
December 27, 2007 at 09:23 #132029Leaving aside DJ’s "joke", Taranis was in a fair old sweat at the start, wasn’t he?
Even if he had finished sound, I don’t think he was "at the races" yesterday.I hope that he makes a good recovery and maybe gets back one day. Tendon injuries are not always the end of a horses racing career but it would be unfair to expect them to come back as good as before.
