When he stands up you mean? Colm doesn"t have a Gold Cup horse in his yard!
April 7, 2010 at 20:09 #288374Of course, he needs to improve his jumping no end, but when he gets it all together there won’t be a horse to touch him! Just watch how easily he was going in the Dr PJ Moriarty, alongside one of our favourite horses. I know the Weapon wasn’t seen to best effect that day, but there is no doubt in my mind that Zaarito’s he’s a Gold Cup horse.

thm, trust me when i tell you Zaarito wont get near Weapons Amnesty in the Cheltenham Gold Cup,i have a 10 point check list when i assess a horse,Imperial ticked 9 for this years Gold Cup,what would be my only concern for next year is that he will be 10yo!
Weapons Amnesty
ticks 10 out of 10 for me now and every time he touches 10"s on the machine i take it! Somersby currently ticks 8 and Mikael 7 just to let you know!
April 7, 2010 at 20:22 #288384Yeah I won’t hear of Weapon’s being out of the first 3! If Long Run had won that easily he’d be top price 5/1!
April 9, 2010 at 15:54 #288917Hope you kept faith with Albertas Run Gord, a nice compliment to my Chaninbar ticket yesterday

You know me tb,Loyalty rules!Only recovered my losses though,i got 10"s,had too back him, knowing he would stretch them!A year ago anyone telling me Poquelin would beat Albertas and i would have laughed in their face, trouble was i honestly thought Poquelin would reverse the Ryanair form!Muppet,i"m still kicking myself for not cleaning up again!
April 11, 2010 at 09:51 #289553A horse that cost me big time last year,
Gan Amhras
makes his seasonal debut today in Ireland,i thought he was going places last year, his run in the 2000gns screamed Derby to me and i for one thought he could have given Sea the Stars a run for his money! One hits the big time and the other couldn"t beat handicappers by the end of the season! One thing that i distinctly remember Jim Bolger saying is this fellow needs Good fast ground and he"ll get 11/2m No problem!Todays conditions wont suit then!
April 11, 2010 at 15:48 #289659The climax to this years Masters at Augusta starts tonight on BBC 1 at 6,55pm. Lee Westwood 7/4, takes a 1 stroke lead into the final round from Phil Mickleson 15/8,who in turn is 3 ahead of the Tiger 5/1! The question is,the winner will be determined by which Tiger turns up? Lee has virtually lead from the start,he has played his most consistent Golf i can remember, the problem is he can suffer from the Jitters, when he contests the final round,if he can putt like he has done this week and plays his own game he can hold on and win a much deserved Green jacket! He knows the last 2 Golfers he wants to be playing in the final round of a Major in America are Phil and Tiger, both multiple Major Winners! I get nervous playing a 4 ball for £50!I"m feeling nervous for Lee already!Come on son,i will be willing him on till midnight!
April 14, 2010 at 22:41 #290330Well well,
Syrian
runs at Ripon tomorrow over a mile,he"s currently 8/1 to beat a very average bunch! I shall sleep on it!

Dear Oh dear, what a dissapointment. The horse gets gelded through the winter and returns even worse than before,he has seriously lost the plot now! Jamie Spencer will ride him next time as he is taking the p**s with Hayley!
April 17, 2010 at 19:45 #290864I know i have been harping on about
Age of aquarius
winning the St leger since the spring, but i still have seen nothing to touch him for the race!
If ever a race was designed for a horse its these 2, i have therefore had another £30 on at 7! Nothing like setting yourself up for a fall i know, but that is the name of the game if you want to play Ante-Post! Funnily enough i have been making enquiries about the current fav for the LegerHarbinger
winning next years King George at Ascot! 25/1 is the best i could get!!
Harbinger
showed just what a prospect for Group 1 honours he is today and i wouldn"t swop him for this years King George for anything as he has further improvement to come!I wrote the above on Aug 10th last year.A nice tonic for My second Ante-Post wager thats gone down the pan to 3 figures(Workforce,2000gns)!Coincidently the first being Age of Aquarius for last years St Leger!
Harbinger won me +£1660 in the King George

thm,i see your
Zaarito
is entered to run in the 3m1f Novice Chase at Punchestowns this week! Now could be the time to take the 85"s on Betfair for next years Gold Cup! Mind you he has got to stand up!!
April 18, 2010 at 23:36 #291107The Midnight Club was my horse for Punchestown as I thought he’d be running in the handicap, but if Zaarito stands up he’ll annhialate him…
Unfortunately don’t have a Betfair a/c
