Hello you lot…. c’mon guys, we need more systems down here….. doesn’t matter how daft…. bring ’em down with the selections (to save us working ’em out) and lets see if we have enough fuel to light a fire….. just put the selections up if you want to, perhaps the more knowledgeable members on here can add a few filters or make suggestions that would turn a break even system into a good one…… if you think that you’ve got the makings of a system, but are still unsure, we can pick holes in your selection and that might even give you ideas on how to improve….. don’t keep struggling and losing money, come down to Ward 7 and get these bloody head cases to try their magic, you never know….. the majority of systems that are available have been brought about through forum participation, why should this forum be any different…. c’mon guys, wake up and get off your bots….. hahahaha… bots, that’s nearly funny…..

May 3, 2010 at 09:47 #293858Purely by chance I wandered through this site for the first time in years and who should I find?
Well, well – how’s things old buddy? Still winding up the inmates I see!
Good to see you’re still in fine spirits (I can smell it from here) and I hope life is treating you well.
All the best,
Dave.
BTW, just incase anyone around here doesn’t know you from back in the day, you need to listen to this guy kids. As surely as a bear s**ts in the woods, this gentleman knows his stuff.
May 3, 2010 at 10:17 #293868A silly system just to please
MrE
who has been so good to us he deserves a little encouragement.
Possibly used more for Nat. Hunt but with more limited choice during the flat season.
Select the horse with trainer and jockey having the same name.
Daft . . . possibly but it has in the past given me two G. National winners with Carberry- BobbyJo and Walsh-Papillion.
It also gave me Twiston-Davies-Hello Bud with 5th place this year.
Toaday there is Ryan/Ryan with JIGAJIG in the 3.40 Warwick, there may be others such as Hills/Hills but I have not checked.

May 3, 2010 at 10:20 #293869Well!!!!…. what can I say…. the return of the Norfolk Nutter….. to say that I’m gobsmacked is an understatement…. I was only enquiring after your well being the other day mate, I got to thinking about all Matrons playthings and toyboys and you were the first one that sprung to mind…. how are you my friend????… I am so pleased that you survived the "wet towel" treatment from the boss and that he hasn’t got you chained up in solitary just for his own amusement…. I was told that you had disappeared from Ward 7 for some time and I did get a smidgin worried because I couldn’t help but notice that the sale of Vaseline had plumbed new depths, I just wondered whether Matron was plumbing new depths also….
it’s bloody good to hear from you again, its been a few years….. stick around a bit, I hear they are having an annexe built on Ward 7, they’re thinking of calling it Ward 7 1/2….. between you and me (sshhhh… don’t tell the others), but from what I heard, its only going to be an extra big shower room for the inmates….. of course, we know who’s idea that was don’t we… he always like to watch….. I bumped into Sister Jay too, I heard this grunting and panting coming from the stockroom and got a bit concerned, so I stuck my head around the door and saw Sister Jay polishing his ring…. it appears that the Handwash Sanitizer clogs up your ring….. that’s useful to know aint it, cos I couldn’t bear having a clogged up ring…. I suppose the safest bet is to remove it before washing……
Stick around a bit my old mate…. it could be a laugh winding up old Matron again……

May 3, 2010 at 10:46 #293879Seriously tho’, I always do my bit to try and help members (actually I’m stalling for time to prevent having to mow the grass and hoping rain will save me).

May 3, 2010 at 10:58 #293883Urban Dave,
Finally, released from Broadmoor.

Nice to see you back and I do hope you stick around.
Formath, you certainly have always given your advice and time freely and it is appreciated. We get an awful lot of "watchers" to this part of "TRF" but, it would be nice a few more took the plunge and joined in with the fun and games.
Regards – Matron
May 3, 2010 at 11:18 #293888This is a system from Sporting Life Radio’s Nick Millard.

Formath

May 4, 2010 at 06:35 #294037Sorry Alan, I didn’t see Jambo was one of yours. I thought your post about ‘Punters VDW Odds Matter Master Guide’ or some fink….

One possible Lay today, as per above rules:
6.00 C First Class Favour
So far: 1/1
May 4, 2010 at 09:28 #294050I prefer backing but have looked into laying. It’s a dangerous game. One idea/system I came up with hinges on the selection being triply disadvantaged.
1) it’s a Tipsters nap
2) it’s in a H/cap
3) it has no Course winFind a site that lists ‘Naps’ from all of the UK’s leading newspaper tipsters. There are such sites.
Note races that have just ONE nap.
It must be a H/cap with a minimum of 5 runners.
The nap must NOT have won at the course. There are two worth considering as Lays today.
Fak 4.50 Shropshire Lass
Ncle 5.10 Fathey
No doubt this could be improved by applying a filter or two. Time would tell.May 4, 2010 at 10:11 #294054. . .
interesting

FATHEY has cropped up on a system of mine, But to WIN!
I also think Laying is dangerous but having flirted with it I felt it lacked the thrill of backing.
Just an opinion!

A successful lay gives one a feeling of shadenfreud, relief and regret. A thrill of a sort. A kind of thrill-lite. Not the exhileration of backing a winner.

Much like backing an odds-on winner IMO
