Andre Fabre rarely sends horses on fools errands and Flintshire must have a good chance of landing the Sword Dancer at Saratoga on Saturday.
An Arc runner up, Flintshire was also second in the Breeders Cup Turf and should have his conditions here. He brings class to the table.
Main Sequence, runner up to Camelot in the Derby, won this last year and I expect Fabre’s horse to set himself up for another crack at the Arc and Breeders Cup with a win here.
Only two firms offer odds so far and I feel Stan James are on the mark with 11/8, meaning that Racebets offer of 2/1 must be taken.
Let’s not be Skin Flints and wire in to make sure we are not Bernie Flint.
Sword Dancer Invitational Flintshire 2/1 Go on you dancer!!
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

August 29, 2015 at 21:51 #1187004Easy money as Flintshire saunters home.
Money lying in the street waiting to be picked up and people just walking past.
Must be about the easiest $630,000 ever earned and surely they will be back for another tilt at the Breeders Cup Turf. Bypass the Arc and land the money would be my plan.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
August 27, 2016 at 22:53 #1261430It hardly seems a year since Flintshire landed the Sword Dancer and 2/1 was available early.
No such generosity this season as he went off 1/5 and he won by a cosy 3 lengths this time.
The trainer originally said that the plan was to keep the horse in the USA until after the Breeders Cup and then think about international targets.
Flintshire is as low as 20/1 for the Arc but I doubt he is going there by the sound of it.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
August 28, 2016 at 13:23 #1261484Try for the Japan World Cup , about two or so weeks after the Breeders.? While former David Lanigan’s Main Sequence turned into a solid Group 1 winning horse in the US, and bet Flintshire in the Breeders Cup, I would wait and see who from Europe is going to be sent to that Turf race. ? Funny how the Americans are falling over for Flintshire, who is a fine horse, but he was always a bit of a bridesmaid under Fabre (I exclude the 2015 Arc, he was super and not expected to be that good – had him each way)
