What Jim’s photo doesn’t show is Jim himself, on the left of the photo just outside the frame, unfastening his trousers with a wicked smile on his face.
December 13, 2007 at 15:13 #130359Great photo Jim

I found that remark to be offensive. Delete this thread immediately.

If only, Corm

What really happened was the bear told me his name was Brendan O’Neill, so I did what I had to do!
December 14, 2007 at 08:00 #130459It’s primarily a racing forum and anyone looking to test the boundaries of what can and cannot be considered acceptable on a public forum needs to do so elsewhere
… that really sums up the state of the nation for me. This place is really going down the tubes.
I think its time to gtf
December 14, 2007 at 15:26 #130498Genuinely sorry if I offended anyone.
The posts I made were "only" meant to be jokes.
If you cannot see the funny side of things like that, then I am sorry for you aswell.
The did make at least one person laugh,so at least I bought some happiness to someones day.
That was the idea.
December 14, 2007 at 16:13 #130516Lolly, I wouldn’t apologise to anyone as it’s their problem if they feel offended by humour.
Sticks and stones and all that.
December 14, 2007 at 16:43 #130523I agree with Jim,
In my view you have absolutely nothing to apologise for Lolly.
It’s a pity those who have complained haven’t got the balls to come on here and explain why they are "offended" so we can debate the issue – Oh I forgot those sort of people don’t like debate do they?
December 14, 2007 at 20:22 #130557Lolly, you have nothing to worry about. I will bet you not one person on here will admitt to being the offended or be able to defend their arguement or be bothered or realise they are in the wrong place. have your opinion , fine but don’t hide…
December 14, 2007 at 20:35 #130559I agree with all comments . Unfortunatley, in this day and age Corm’s hands were tied and I don’t think it’s his fault that he had to remove the thread (I’m not saying anyone did say it was his fault).
I actually found the joke quite funny, I told it to my girlfriend, who told it to all her colleagues at work – one of which is (dare I say it without this thread being removed again) Asian.
Are we even allowed to tell jokes about Paddy these days, or the Englishman, the Scotsman and the Irishman etc etc?

December 15, 2007 at 08:55 #130599Does this mean discussions of the Israel-Palestine war and the crusades/war on terror/oil grab (choose your own title) are now off-limits?
They used to be rollicking debates but, if no-one’s allowed to take the western/Jewish side, it’s not going to be very interesting.

December 15, 2007 at 09:25 #130604I got the same on another foum when i discussed the McCanns all forum editors are scared stiff now of repercussions. The internet was the last place for free speech and even that’s been wittled away by the pc lot who scower forums looking to be offended on behalf of others.
December 15, 2007 at 21:52 #130743Well thanks for the support people. You are so right in saying that the complaining folk will never put their hands up, because they dont really have an argument, or a sence of humour.
I believe folk call them liberals.
They know who they are, and there too weak to raise their hands.
They only want to jump onto the "PC" bandwagon and try to make themselves feel they are doing good for a cause.
I have a good idea who they are, and they are sad.So lets not worry too much.
December 15, 2007 at 22:18 #130749I mentioned the risk of Muslims extremists on this forum once, and was called a "Racist bigot".
I have also mentioned the damage that mass immigration will cause to this county, only to be told that it can only be a good thing!
2 Years on, I think I can say that my point was correct!
Mmmm. This is getting interesting
December 16, 2007 at 02:30 #130775This has nothing to do with PC (gone mad or otherwise) it is merely the actions of people with such low self esteem the only way they can assert their authority is with the word ‘offended’
Lolly’s has done nothing wrong (neither has Corm, as someone said he had his hands tied) – it is just a sad indictment on how this world has become where anonymous people can dictate what we say or what we do.
One thing they can never dictate though, is what we think.
Game set and match
December 16, 2007 at 09:05 #130783The censorship of this issue is kind of understandable, but essentially disappointing from a freedom of speech perspective.
Lolly’s Mate has, at times, raised sparked some very interesting threads on here, usually on themes with a racial, cultural or political basis. If anyone would like to see for themselves an example of a Lolly’s Mate thread, here is one – https://theracingforum.co.uk/forum/v … sc&start=0
Here, hilariously, LM states that he dislikes the BNP before repeatedly licking Nick Griffin’s @rse, in apparent support of ‘freedom of speech’. You do have to feel sorry for Lolly’s Mate here, who again is clearly only trying to provide some humour.
Of course, it is unfortunate that anyone should ever be branded a "Racist bigot"…
December 16, 2007 at 09:44 #130786See NV. You can see humour in some things

Good to see that you have decided to come out in the open, rather than hide away.
And how on earth did I lick Nick Griffins bottom in what I posted?
Twisting again are we Janet?
