3rd yesterday at 4/1. Now -3.17pts to 1pt win level stake.

We go today with a strongish message from Fergal O’Brien

    14:40, Worcester
    Fergal O’Brien
    Police Academy
    Dec Odds: 4.9 (BetFair Exchange)
Police Academy ran her best race yet over fences when a good 2nd over this CD two weeks ago. Consistent and a multiple winner over hurdles, she looks poised for a first chase victory.

    One for today

    14:20, Goodwood
    Ian Williams
    Night On Earth

    Dec Odds: 5 (BetFair Exchange)
Night On Earth won for the 4th time in 18 2024 sprints at Catterick last week. Up 4lb in today’s new ratings, so he’s 1lb worse in with his penalty. His newly-discovered ability to fight back when challenged will make this blazing front runner a threat again here.

A bit of an outsider but decent vibes from the trainer

    17:00, Salisbury
    Ian Williams
    Beylerbeyi
    Dec Odds: 19 (BetFair Exchange)
Beylerbeyi won three times in just over a month in the summer and has put in plenty of other good efforts in his busy 16-race schedule so far in 2024. Never one to ignore, he could go well.

Salisbury abandoned yesterday, we’ll stick with in-form Ian Williams again today.

    13:50, Ascot
    Ian Williams
    Law Supreme

    Dec Odds: 6.6 (BetFair Exchange)
Law Supreme had a good spring and after a couple of lesser runs, was back to form with a good 2nd at Windsor last time. The ground has come right for him, so hopeful.

Nothing yesterday. Brian Meehan sounds upbeat about the one I’ve selected from a host of runners for which this service has trainer’s quotes for today.

    14:45, Ascot
    Brian Meehan
    Law Of Design
    Dec Odds: 6.8 (BetFair Exchange)
Law Of Design is a proper horse, a lovely gelded son of Sotsass and he made a very promising start at Newmarket. I could have waited another week but this four-horse race looked a good opportunity. Very hopeful.

Law Of Design justifies his trainer’s confidence yesterday with a nice win at an SP of 3/1.

We’re now -2.17pts to 1 pt win level stake at SP (15 selections). ROI -14.5%

A new face today, Nicky Richards, don’t think I’ve featured one of his before.

    14:30, Perth
    Nicky Richards
    Parisencore
    Dec Odds: 4 (BetFair Exchange)
Parisencore has been consistent and he ran another good race when a close 2nd over the course and distance three weeks ago. I’m hoping for the same again – except a win rather than another 2nd place. He won’t be far off either way.

No luck with the Richard’s horse the other day. Over to Epsom today.

    16:20, Epsom
    William Knight
    Dubawi Time
    Dec Odds: 4.5 (BetFair Exchange)
Dubawi Time started with two good runs on turf over 1m4f but last time seemed not to get 1m6f on all-weather. Back again in trip, he has a great chance.

Dubawi Time and Parisencore both a bit disappointing thirds in their races.

We’ll go to Ian Williams today who seems keen enough on this one’s chance –

    17:15, Chester
    Ian Williams
    Green Team
    Dec Odds: 9.4 (BetFair Exchange)
Green Team has started to flex his muscles again from his much-reduced mark. Charlie Todd gets to ride in this jump jockeys’ flat-race handicap and the combination could be a winning one.

Yet another 3rd place yesterday – this time at 8/1.

We’ll stick with Ian Williams today who fancies the in-form Finn Russell

    15:45, Doncaster
    Ian Williams
    Finn Russell
    Dec Odds: 10.5 (BetFair Exchange)
Finn Russell ran well when 2nd at Epsom on Thursday. He’s the type of horse that will enjoy this semi-exhibition race and could hardly be in better form.

Fairly strong recommendation today from William Knight

    14:35, Yarmouth
    William Knight
    Glitter Code

    Dec Odds: 15 (BetFair Exchange)
Glitter Code has been gelded since his disappointing run at Glorious Goodwood and hopefully, that will help him concentrate better. I think he is fairly handicapped and expect him to run a big race.

No joy yesterday although Knight had a winner with another he he gave a positive to so we’ll follow the man in form again today.

    15:55, Sandown
    William Knight
    Royal Velvet
    Dec Odds: 12 (BetFair Exchange)
I’m not sure what went wrong with Royal Velvet at Newmarket last time as she had been very progressive with two wins at Yarmouth just before that. The ground here is decent and I reckon she can go close.

Nothing for Royal Velvet the other day. We’ll go with Warren Greatrex today

    15:05, Sedgefield
    Warren Greatrex
    Jet Of Dreams
    Dec Odds: 7.8 (BetFair Exchange)
Jet Of Dreams looked an improved performer after a wind-op in the spring. He’s had a good summer break, returning off 6lb higher. That might not stop him from following up.

We had a good winner with the most recent of these (gap due to my holidaying) but back today with a call to arms from Brian Meehan. We’ll go half point each way on this one.

    16:35, Kempton Park
    Brian Meehan
    Panama Black

    Dec Odds: 50 (BetFair Exchange)
Shaun liked Panama Black very much when he made his debut at Newbury and that goes with my opinion – he’s a very nice two-year-old. He’s a big price and well worth an each-way bet with the run behind him.
