Castel Gandolfo beat a smart field when landing the big hurdle race at Market Rasen four weeks ago. The 5lb rise is very fair and he can follow up in a lesser race.Nothing doing yesterday after cate Gandolfo failed to live up to Fergal’s hopes! -0.7pts to date on 1 pt win level stakes.

A nice winner yesterday at 7/2 takes the thread nicely into the black.
There are a couple of strongish quotes today, I’ve picked this one out but two or three I could have happily reproduced.

For example the same day Dual Identity was runner up for William Knight he had the winner in the same race (Sir Busker 14/1) and gave it a fair chance too but they only want me to put up one a day to be fair to their subscribers who get all the quotes.
Anyway we’re -2.17 pts to 1pt win level stake (-19.7% ROI) so far.

Yantarni clocked up a hat-trick in June at Lingfield and Newbury and ran another good race when a close 2nd in a Shergar Cup race at Ascot this month. He disappointed in a Racing League contest at Windsor after leading but he could easily bounce back here. Hopeful.
