Sitting pretty on Tullyhill at 20/1 EW

You've got to accentuate the positive.
    Eliminate the negative.
    Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.

Think Slade Steel at 9/2 with 4 places is a great each way bet here. Ground not a worry and his form is a lot more solid than the Mullins top two for me. I think Tullyhill in particular is criminally short.

I’d give Firefox and Jeriko Du Reponet a chance but it would be hard to back the latter given stable form while I think Slade Steel has had a better prep than the former and is likely a better horse in any case.

Firefox 6s – stake returned as a free bet, if it loses.

I’ve just been through the race properly and I’m strong on Firefox. His last run, as soon as I hit play on the replay I was immediately thinking how bulky he was. He looked like a heavily pregnant mare!

Dropping back in trip definitely looks the right idea but getting some weight off him is the best thing to improve his chances.

A win single and e/w double with the goffer in the ultima.

I’ve added Mistergif ew as he looked good last time and won’t mind the ground, and put him in an ew double with Hunters Yarn too. I think Daryl Jacob is a bit underrated.

Agree Nathan. I had backed him for the longer race but have put one of my free bets on him here.

I am on Jeriko Du Reponet as well. I think the likely strong pace will help him but he will have to improve on his bare form and the stable health is not exactly encouraging.

Even before the apparent Henderson stable being out of form it was my intention to back Jeriko Du Reponet so not going to alter that.

The more I know the less I understand.

No strong thoughts on this. I’d like to see Tellherthename run a big race, but I’d be looking at Mystical Power from a win perspective.

Hooray! Good performance to battle back, especially when he looked like he was over-racing early on.

What price the Henderson horses now after Jeriko’s performance? He looked beaten a long way out.
