Sitting pretty on Tullyhill at 20/1 EW
You've got to accentuate the positive.
Eliminate the negative.
Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.March 11, 2024 at 20:07 #1684629Think Slade Steel at 9/2 with 4 places is a great each way bet here. Ground not a worry and his form is a lot more solid than the Mullins top two for me. I think Tullyhill in particular is criminally short.
I’d give Firefox and Jeriko Du Reponet a chance but it would be hard to back the latter given stable form while I think Slade Steel has had a better prep than the former and is likely a better horse in any case.
March 11, 2024 at 20:28 #1684631Firefox 6s – stake returned as a free bet, if it loses.
March 11, 2024 at 20:49 #1684635I’ve just been through the race properly and I’m strong on Firefox. His last run, as soon as I hit play on the replay I was immediately thinking how bulky he was. He looked like a heavily pregnant mare!
Dropping back in trip definitely looks the right idea but getting some weight off him is the best thing to improve his chances.
A win single and e/w double with the goffer in the ultima.
March 12, 2024 at 07:54 #1684700I’ve added Mistergif ew as he looked good last time and won’t mind the ground, and put him in an ew double with Hunters Yarn too. I think Daryl Jacob is a bit underrated.
March 12, 2024 at 08:42 #1684730Slade Steel is a big player now with conditions

March 12, 2024 at 09:12 #1684739Agree Nathan. I had backed him for the longer race but have put one of my free bets on him here.
I am on Jeriko Du Reponet as well. I think the likely strong pace will help him but he will have to improve on his bare form and the stable health is not exactly encouraging.
March 12, 2024 at 10:10 #1684755Even before the apparent Henderson stable being out of form it was my intention to back Jeriko Du Reponet so not going to alter that.
The more I know the less I understand.
March 12, 2024 at 13:20 #1684815No strong thoughts on this. I’d like to see Tellherthename run a big race, but I’d be looking at Mystical Power from a win perspective.

March 12, 2024 at 13:38 #1684825Hooray! Good performance to battle back, especially when he looked like he was over-racing early on.
What price the Henderson horses now after Jeriko’s performance? He looked beaten a long way out.
March 12, 2024 at 13:38 #1684826Hendo should be worried – first beaten pulled up before last
March 12, 2024 at 13:38 #1684827Credit to Henry for coming here
I said he wouldn’t win so hands up
