Mystical Power is the clear favourite on the Exchange now. Ballyburn is odds on for the Gallachers. It looks like a done deal.
March 7, 2024 at 10:47 #1683855It should make the Supreme a better race to be fair albeit at the expense of the Gallachers which will become very small field, probably 4 or 5 my guess. Its looking a very winnable race the Supreme. Tullyhill will push Mystical Power close for favouritism imo, very similar piece of form, Paul will obviously be on Tullyhill as its not JP.
March 10, 2024 at 19:22 #1684420I thought Willie sounded quite sweet on ASIAN MASTER last I heard. Owned by the Costello’s so big day for the jockey. That was a decent race he won easily last time and first race of the festival, amateur jockey to win, I can picture it. Means f-all, we can picture all outcomes. Mistergif could be any-ting.
ASIAN MASTER 28/1
MISTERGIF 14/1
saver on MYSTICAL POWER 7/2 as I’d like for Mark to win this too.March 10, 2024 at 19:52 #1684425Mystical Power

March 11, 2024 at 01:14 #1684464I’ve already backed Mystical Power (and Slade Steel). Former looked the one to start favourite because imo Tullyhill needs soft or heavy ground and Slade Steel probably needs soft to bring his stamina into play at the trip. On good-soft Mystical Power imo would’ve had the best chance by a fair margin. Now (on soft) I make MP and SS joint favs with Tullyhill only just behind.
Value Is EverythingMarch 11, 2024 at 06:45 #1684467I’m not too concerned about soft ground for MP as that is what he has been racing on over hurdles and his sire produced a grade 1 hurdler who needed it soft and the dam won plenty on it.
March 11, 2024 at 09:19 #1684479It’s not that MP does not go on soft, just brings other horses into it, Mike. Had it been good-soft the ground would’ve been against Tullyhill and the test of speed possibly against Slade Steel. Therefore Mystical Power now has less chance than he would’ve done on good-soft.
Value Is EverythingMarch 11, 2024 at 11:51 #1684508To be honest, and maybe it’s just me, but I don’t see what all the hoo-ha
is about Jeriko Du Reponet. I think his form is pretty solid. There seemed
to be a fair bit of criticism about his last race which personally I don’t
agree wih. He travelled and jumped well, and sure he did have to get stoked
up after the 2nd last and had a bit of a fight with Lump Sum and Fiercely
Proud but won going away in the end. Lump Sum won a Grade 2 hurdle at Kempton
next time out, chased home by Fiercely Proud. I think that shows the form of
the Doncaster race was pretty genuine. It might turn out that Mystical Power, Firefox and Slade Steel are better horses,
that we won’t know until they square up. I think the 15/2 isn’t a bad bet, I grabbed
some of the 10/1 when he drifted out after the Doncaster race. I didn’t understand that.
I’m quite happy with the horse. He won a Grade 2 last time out and the 2nd won a Grad 2
next time out, with the 3rd from the Doncaster race being runner-up. Mystical Power aside,
he’s the only other unbeaten runner in the race. I think his chances are pretty good, I
certainly wouldn’t swap him.March 11, 2024 at 11:55 #1684510Does anyone think this is a strong supreme ? , I get the feeling Tullyhill will either win or blow out
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
March 11, 2024 at 14:24 #1684544My picks…
Mystical Power 6-1 ew
Tullyhill 3-1 money back if losesMarch 11, 2024 at 15:23 #1684554Backed Tellherthename EW (25s) and Slade Steel (9/2).
March 11, 2024 at 16:05 #1684562I did originally think this rested between Mystical Power and Firefox.
I can see them going pretty quick the front end with Tellherthename, Tullyhill, and possibly Firefox. For that reason my confidence in Firefox is on the wane, particularly as he needs to bounce back from a bad run.
I would be surprised if either Jeriko Du Reponet or Slade Steel were good enough.
The race could be run to suit a closer so for that reason I will stick with Mystical Power.
It looks a competitive Supreme, time will confirm whether it’s above average.
March 11, 2024 at 17:05 #1684573Certainly open.
This is my 100% book:
MYSTICAL POWER 22% 7/2
SLADE STEEL 21% (almost halfway between 4/1 and 7/2)
Tullyhill 19% (almost halfway between 9/2 and 4/1)
Jericko Du Reponent 10% 9/1
MISterGIff 10% 9/1
Firefox 9% 10/1
FAVOUR AND FORTUNE 3.25% 28/1
Asian Master 3% 33/1
Tellherthename 2% 50/1
Gold Dancer 0.75% 132/1
Supersundae 0.3% 300/1
King Hill 0.2% 500/1I’ve done both Mystical Power at an average of 5.83 and Slade Steel average 10.54 ante-post.
Now done Favour And Fortune @ 45/1 with a saver on Mistergiff @ 12.5/1If I was betting now (without ante-post bets) it would be Slade Steel and Favour And Fortune main bets with savers on Mystical Power and Mistergiff.
Value Is EverythingMarch 11, 2024 at 17:15 #1684579I’d worry about a hard puller like mystical power getting up the hill on the likely soft/heavy ground
I like tullyhill and Slade steel
Both will stay the trip strongly
Tullyhill will love the ground but will need to improve his jumping another notch
Suspect he will either win or be beaten out of sight depending on how he jumps
March 11, 2024 at 18:53 #1684609Mistergif jumps and travels which can’t be said of Tullyhill or Mystical Power. Perhaps that’s a bit harsh but Mistergif would be a pretty strong fancy here and I’ve taken the bet365 25% winnings boost. I think Daryl Jacob has been riding better than ever this season too.
March 11, 2024 at 19:00 #1684613Asian master @25/1 e/w, cracking betting race, firefox would be my pick of the main ones bur im happy to just have a small bet on AM and watch a solid first race to the week, no lays, dont feel strongly against anything, i feel anything could win this.
March 11, 2024 at 19:11 #1684621Tullyhill for me but I don’t have a strong fancy for this. He’s got bundles of class but his jumping really needs to take a huge step forward tomorrow.
