25/1 Unexcepted. Clearly didn’t like the conditions in Limerick. Strong pace in the Supreme over 2 miles on decent ground should bring about major improvement. Abacadabras form is stronger for sure but 25/1 is huge.
January 3, 2020 at 21:57 #1478868Lavelle’s Hang In There runs in The Tolworth tomorrow and I think he’ll win it. A front runner with a huge appetite for it looks like he will take some passing. We’ll know more this time tomorrow but I’ve taken 33/1 for The Supreme.
January 4, 2020 at 15:27 #1478952Impressive from Fiddlerontheroof – but could he be even better over further? It can sometimes be deceptive, when horses finish strongly there is always the feeling that further will bring even more but not always the case that they are better when they do try a longer trip.
January 4, 2020 at 17:40 #1478962Hmmm, Hang In There a ghost of the horse he was at Cheltenham. Asked for an effort there he went quickly clear. Asked today, found absolutely zero, going from first to 4th in a few strides. Got to have been amiss
January 5, 2020 at 14:29 #1479007wasnt a good tolworth, id avoid him like the plague for this, looks a chaser.
January 5, 2020 at 19:53 #1479033Fiddlerontheroof looks a proper chaser and with that turn of foot i would say next year he could be one for the arkle
January 5, 2020 at 23:30 #1479048Agree looked a good chaser for the future. Wasn’t enamoured with his irish form coming over here. He’s done it well enough in the end. All about next year with him for me, knowing Tizzard.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!January 6, 2020 at 16:32 #1479106It was the height he was getting over his hurdles that worried me as I had him in a price boosted double with SILVER FOREVER! I was thinking the whole time he just looks like he’s made for a fence then all of a sudden he took off so I’d still say he’s a good chance in the supreme based on that run.
Does anyone have an idea when Bet365 are going NRNB?
January 9, 2020 at 17:06 #1479351Is anyone not keen on Abacadabras, Im not sold yet!
January 9, 2020 at 18:18 #1479364Me. I took some of the 6-1 a little while back.
Built like a tank, will fill out some more come March time.
January 9, 2020 at 19:56 #1479383Yeah, I got 6/1 soon as Envoi was upped in trip but i just wonder about the finish down hill, then turn in to run uphill. Has me thinking if he would have that in in the locker as we havent seen him off the bridle (he may not have much) and maybe now more inclined to go for Fiddlerontheroof at 8/1 as my main bet. He looked a strong chasing type to me and when asked to kick on in the Tolworth he showed a nice turn of foot, maybe he would be a strong finisher 2miles at cheltenham.
January 9, 2020 at 20:48 #1479397Personally will take aba on all day in the supreme. Not sure when push comes to shove he’ll have it in him to win.
Not sure Ray re 365 NRNB.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!January 10, 2020 at 12:54 #1479440Had a look through this race the other day and Chantry House stood out a mile at 20/1. Beat Edwardstone easily by 3 lengths, that rival has since beaten Fiddlerontheroof and won again with a penalty beating Harry Senior who the Tizzards rate highly i think.
Chantry House is a bit risky as he’s inexperienced and might be going low key again next time but i can see JP changing that plan and going for a Graded race next soon and then possibly a run in Feb before this race.
Only thing that dampens this thought for me is if Andy Dufresne comes out this weekend at Punchestown and looks a weapon back at 2 miles, but that’s far from certain as he was poor last time.
Have taken some of the 20/1 and if he’s confirmed for a graded race in the next couple of weeks i’ll definitely be going in again.
January 10, 2020 at 19:31 #1479468I’ve gone any race Kev at 25s this was a good while back- i’d agree form is rock solid. Heard Nicky mention the low key route this year, but he’s a bluffer.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!January 12, 2020 at 15:25 #1479641I think AD might be better over fences next season. I couldn’t have him for this running up the hill into the chute.
Chantry House was also in the lead and still travelling well on his PTP debut with Fury Road, Fiddlerontheroof and Monkfish all in his wake when he fell.
January 12, 2020 at 18:48 #1479665I thought AD was quite good today. I like the way he knuckled down and battled and was well on top at the line.
Whether or not that form is good enough to win at Cheltenham is another matter but the front two did pull a long way clear of the rest.
January 12, 2020 at 19:03 #1479667Was a good race today. I think the Supreme will suit both of them pretty well. Would expect CG to benefit more from it though as i think a fast run race will help him settle and not pull himself to the front. Have backed him for this.
