The quality is in Ireland but we have a few interesting ones in England!!
Nicholls represented in 6 races at Newbury and has 6 favs, not all good in my opinion!!
Some of my initial thoughts
Newbury 12.30 ONE GULP (3-1 General) Only small but got an engine as she proved when bolting up on her debut last season, Bog like conditions no concern, trainer as been a little unlucky lately but that doesnt make me think their are any problems in the stable, these mare races dont take that much winning and for me she`s a strong fancy!!
1.00 BARBER SHOP (2-1) The queens horse looks like a real chaser so we can expect improvement,he`s sure to have been well schooled for this and i prefer him to the odds on jolly BIG BUCKS, this horse as some solid form in France although he only won 2 from 13, on a line through GOODBYE SIMON he could be rated similiar to the Henderson horse but i have an inclination to think he`s hardly a natural jumper as connections in France would have tried him over fences if that was the case,at the relative prices a decent bet on the Henderson horse!
1.35 THE TOTHER ONE (5-4) Been found a couple of easy races so still as an 100% record, trainer as found yet another easy race and he looks well hcapped!!
2.05 JOE LIVELY (4-1) This horse will really appreciate the going / trip /track, he certainly sets the standards if you ignore the hype, NEVADA ROYALE managed to win his points in very good style,he`s joined a top yard and he`s hard to weigh up,however,if you ignore the hype he shouldnt be trading at close to evens in a race of this nature,the other two are no mugs either but HERES JOHNNY is a bit quirky and MINELLA TIPPERARY as a little to prove!
DONNY
1.20 INDONESIA (9-2) was very disappointing on hurdles debut,however,he should be given another chance as this race looks deplorable to be polite,PIAMONTINA looks a danger but with JJ`s horses continuing to disappoint it might not be his day!
1.55 KENTMERE (100-30) should build on chase debut,still well h`capped despite hike in rating, OUR JASPER is the only conceivable danger in my eyes!!
Leicester
12.30 NOM DE GUERRE (evs) looks to have a tap in, his form is way above these, the ex French LAMY JACK is more of a chasing type, he used to wear blinkers in France and as an inconsistant profile, i guess he`s here for the experience.
2.15 AUTUMN RED (10-1) Despite having two years off trainer considers him well h`capped, he should come into his own over fences so at the price he`s worth an interest
