Todat at Newmarket in a 3 horse race a 1/4 shot Bircham gets beat 7 lengths.
I appreciate it was eased when beaten, but surely the Stewards should have at least enquired into its poor showing. However looking at the BHA website no enquiry was held and nothing was asked as to why it ran badly.
I appreciate that some may say that it should not have been that short a price, however my point is when such a short priced favourite is beaten some sort of explanation should be given by connections to the public or some enquiry held
Poor show by the Stewards at Newmarket today IMO.
