If he is 7/4 I will put him up as my Lay Of The Festival.

He’d only go off that short if the rain came

And if it did he’d be incredibly hard to beat in a very weak division

His hattons grace win is the stand out piece of form this year in staying hurdles

Miles better race than home by the Lee beating ashdale bob and meet and great

As a 6yo teahupoo has huge potential in an aging/weak division

Be interesting to see how gelino bello gets on in the Cleeve, I’m not overly convinced he’s any good but a win on Saturday may change my opinion

Cromwell says Flooring Porter is 70/30, maybe 80/20, to run.

    FP
Interesting, as he’s still avail at 12s in the antepost market (5s NRNB).

“His hattons grace win is the stand out piece of form this year in staying hurdles”

Since when was 2 1/2 miles a staying hurdle? 🤔

And there’s a huge difference between the stamina test presented by an egg and spoon race at Gowran and a truly-run Stayers’ Hurdle over the testing new course at Cheltenham, especially if the ground is soft.

Teahupoo may win, but he represents no value at current odds.

He’s also got a fairly silly name.

But he’s in my “Fez Folio,” along with Home By The Lee, both of which I’ve brilliantly managed to bet at under the odds prior to Blazing Khal bursting into the picture.

I’m mad keen on Marie’s Rock, hopefully she will go here instead of the Mares.

This lot look an average bunch to me and with the 7lb allowance I think she’ll be a tough nut to crack.

Gold Tweet at 8/1 would be of interest to me but it’s hard to know if the horse wants it soft

A further nail in the coffin of my ever dwindling hope Marie runs in the mares.

The lack of reply from anyone in response to the email I sent to middleham park last week begging them to allow the light of truth into their heart to run her in the mares is also saying plenty without saying anything! :-(

Yeah I was thinking of making a pact with them.

Run her in the mares and if she wins I’ll buy some shares in the pit pony who lives in the field to keep their next 500k yearling company.

Blazing Khal is the easiest lay of the week for me.

He didn’t look that impressive in winning the Boyne hurdle and it was hardly a strong race. He’s also had a troubled prep for this plus there’s a big chance he bounces anyway 2nd run back after a long break.

He beat Beacon Age 6.5 lengths who was 44 lengths behind Teahupoo previously. Teahupoo even gave him 9lb whereas Blazing Khal only gave him 5lb.
Sire du Berlais was 10 lengths behind him but 33 lengths behind Teahupoo.

I don’t even think Blazing Khal will be in the discussion here. It’s between Teahupoo, Home By The Lee and Marie’s Rock (if she runs) imo. Flooring Porter may run a big race also if Cromwell has him fit enough.

    Teahupoo all day for me.

There’s a forgotten horse in this – if Chezza remembers its name, Chezza will be sure to mention it.

Blazing Khal facing a race against time to make the Festival. Sustained a bad cut in his win last time.

It’s the horse who started favourite for this last year and was last sighted over what is an inadequate trip for him nowadays.
