Apples Jade 4/7. In great form; jumps a bit to the right but usually gets away with it.

Faugheen 3/1. 6 runs since a long lay off; hacked up in 2 of the 6, ran ok in 1 and absolutely tanked in the other 3. One of those good runs was over 3 miles so we should find out today if he needs a trip or he needs to be retired. Also had a Growth removed from his groin so I think today should tell us if he’s going to the Stayers Hurdle

Cant back Apples Jade at 4/7

Faugheen would be my idea of the winner here.

Mullins stable form is a serious worry.

Cracking smart is the one to follow apples Jade home

Today has to be the day for Faugheen, Apples Jade is the best mare about, but not convinced 3 miles is her trip. Only scrambled home last year from Supasundae, who she has destroyed over 2 and half more than once. If he runs similar to when beating Penhill over 3 miles, he’s a stonking bet at that price. In my opinion of course…

I’m hoping to see another massive run here from Apples Jade, so should leave this well alone, but going to have a small each way on Jezki at 40’s.

Thought he showed well for a long way over a very inadequate trip last time, and the step back up, might see him in a better light, though obviously has to pull out a lot here. Worth a try at that price.

Thank god he got up as I thought we had lost him with the way his legs were kicking – maybe time to retire him now

Faugheen looked lame behind when Ruby was walking him back. I wonder if that’s the last we’ll see of him on the racecourse.

Unfortunately didn’t see the race, glad to hear he’s up and ok…did he look like he was gonna give her a race?

It didn’t appear that Ruby had really asked him so who knows what would have happened, he was slightly unlucky looking at the replay as he stood off a fair way from the hurdle and his front foot just caught the top of the flight as he was coming down.

My only thought about retirement is that you had a very lucky escape there so do you want to tempt fate but ATR showed a clip of him after being led away and he was jig jogging next to the lad and whilst he will probably will be a bit sore in the morning it would appear that he may not have injured himself.

A bit early to say Jamie but they were well clear and neither had been asked a serious question. Faugheen was traveling nicely, but just clipped the top of the second last. Naturally it was all Ruby’s fault according to Twitter 🙄

They probably blamed him for Barcardys fall at the last when coming to win as well – good to see that he survived two falls without injury too. It will be interesting to hear what Ruby’s thoughts on the race are as well.

Mullins is in bad form. Despite the odd winner. Annamix another example.

A key indicator of this is that his yard hasn’t won a bumper since November 26th

I didn’t see the race but Faugheen’s fall sounds like the one that killed Bleu et Rouge. V glad to hear he walked off.

Think faugheen would have won IMO as feel kennedy went too hard on the mare

But who cares about the race atall and the result, just the fact faugheen stood up feels like i won something even though i was just watching the race, i thought he was finished for about 30 seconds

I hope hes ok in the morning and gets to carry on.
