I don’t know if Cinsa is declared in this yet, but I’d be very interested in what she could do. Depending on the price, I’m considering her for the place angle here behind Lossiemouth

I’ve actually bet her for The Triumph at 33-1, but I’m not sure that that is the route she’ll take. Non runner no
bet was important with that approach

7 of the 9 declared runners are trained by Willie Mullins.

On the plus side, Cinsa is the only one who doesn’t have to give 7lb to Lossiemouth.

On the downside she was 12 lengths behind Lossiemouth at Auteuil last April and Lossiemouth hasn’t exactly stood still since.

    Come on, Lossiemouth!

Oh look- another Grade One Willie Mullins snoozefest. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Willie Mullins has been bang on the odds-fixing the last couple of seasons. Always enters 2 horses that are fav and second fav into a race and withdraws one of them but not before all of the lads have piled on whichever of the two runs.

Not quite such a snoozefest if you’ve got 4/1 Lossiemouth for the Triumph as the unHoly Trinity of Chezza, CAS and Ben have.

All together, gentlemen: “Lossie….Mouth, Lossie….Mouth. Lossie, Lossie, Lossie – Mouth, Mouth, Mouth!”

She’s a good one alright! The new Annie Power! Though Willie would be wise to keep this one to the mares division in years to come if she stays over hurdles, we all know it’d be silly to take on the forums favourite Hill!

ID, that is true – but the Irish authorities should be concerned about the image of racing.

6 of the 8 runners are trained by Mullins. In effect, it is 6 of the 7 (one is an unraced 200/1 chance trained by Brendan Duke).

Is Mullins really going to let one of his other five subject Lossiemouth to a hard race?

In a week where the integrity of Irish racing has come under scrutiny, this race is not a good look for the sport.

I will watch every race – especially the Grade 1s – in which trainers are multiply-represented with the following angle in mind: “Was there anything in that race which didn’t look particularly ‘busy’ in what was a Grade 1??!!”

Could be worse. The Robert B. Lewis Stakes at Santa Anita this Saturday will have a field of four horses, all trained by Bob Baffert. Baffert I may add is still banned from Churchill Downs, so if any of these 3yos are real Derby prospects their owners will need to move to another barn by next month.

Could see that happening before it did, the horse has soo much in hand why did Townend put her down the inside?
Lossiemouth looked full of it before the race too

What was even more damning on Townend was that he used the exact same tactics in the first race and got hampered (albeit not to the same level and the horse wasn’t good enough anyway) but to go out in the very next race and employ the exact same tactics…..well we all know the definition of insanity…..the fact that the horse that hampered him was the Ricci’s other runner was absolutely priceless.

I still haven’t forgiven Townend for falling at the last in the RSA on Boston Bob, think that was my first ever ante post bet.

    exactly LD73
the only thing I can think of was that the horse seemed a bit full of herself before the race and if Townend had her wide in space she could have got more lit up so he decided to bury her in the pack.
