The curragh 3:27
The curragh has escaped the worst of hurricane Betty and the yielding going should suit Mr Longfellow here. He is not much of a price, but in this small field he may be able to assert given he has a stablemate to work with and he may be able to find two lengths here….
To improve his price
Henry Longfellow to win by 2.0 lengths or more4/5
August 20, 2023 at 14:11 #1660237Another winner in the Longfellow yesterday.
But making any kind of profit is very hard. When the pro punters are calling it a day and leaving racing because they cannot make a bet as owners you know the sport is having the life squeezed out of it by bookmakers whose profit crazed obsessions won’t allow themselves to lose a penny.
Well let’s help them here.
Frances big race takes place at 3:25 deauville
Aidan O’Brien has made more odd noises about River Tiber and says he’ll be better for the run. Lost ten days preparation. That may well let in the progressive french filly Ramatuelle and our own AMO runner Valliant force.
You can sometimes take what Aidan says with a pinch of salt but when something is up he has good form for warning folks. Ramatuelle has been nothing short of excellent in racking up some taking wins, including latest at group two. Goes on good and soft and good to soft and has been kept up to her work by running every month since April. Just one defeat on second run when trying to steal the race and benefitted from the run, settling better and winning each time since by over four lengths.Ramatuelle

no point doing these each way. They all have claims in a wide open race.

Slate lane
Win
Goes handicapping now straight after winning maiden hurdle. Handicapper has obviously never heard of E.Mullins and likely 103 generous to a fault.
Slate lane to win by 5+ lengths.August 21, 2023 at 17:57 #1660354Slate lane won well but couldn’t shake off rival didn’t have to and was always doing enough to emphasise that they were 30 lengths clear of the next horse but handicapper will remain in the dark for a narrow win.
Bangor 6:05
Farouk De Cheneau
winhas answered plenty of questions and although giving away lumps of weight the rival it is given to remains 0/10 over fences.
any news has a great chance to turn things around and may well do so, but Farouk De Cheneau can continue upward curve.

Zero form never placed save for a win under Hollie Doyle at Yarmouth in sept 21. Better over hurdles since joining Irish raiders and unplaced two days ago hint of a plot. Off turf for an age and well treated hereAugust 23, 2023 at 16:15 #1660630Carlisle 4:20

Has not run in a class four for a very long time.

I want Paul Hanagan to be the winner here to prove racing has a big heart.
But otherwise I’d settle for draw data to kick in as a seven year average puts stall 7 in the hot seat whilst free energy that I bang on about relentlessly puts both runners in the forefront of things. So this above all else is an Alexander bet.August 30, 2023 at 16:55 #1661563Some nice priced winners for the thread recently.
Back to basics here with a small priced selection.
Bellewstown 5:05Final Orders

and final orders to win by 5+ lengths
has not been seen over hurdles since his last win and in that time has won five times over fences.
He has a rating 47 pounds higher over fences.
He may not win by a wide margin but a small bet on him doing it by over five is the call. Oh and he won this race last year off six pounds lower and given his rapid rise up the ratings in chases looks very well treated here.
August 31, 2023 at 20:09 #1661632I’m actually enjoying the racing league.
I like the fact that trainers and their yards are travelling distances to compete even in a team environment. It’s good for prospective buyers and a showcase for the sport in a different spectrum to one we are used to. Cricket has taken the lead in new innovations to attract cash into the game by trying something different. I’m not actually watching the spectacle around the event and am only on the periphery watching for angles to exploit.August 31, 2023 at 20:15 #1661633Newcastle 8:15

Looks very well treated having only just been stepped up in trip after a few hurdles runs and transition to chasing has been very easy.
A well placed point to pointer
