The curragh has escaped the worst of hurricane Betty and the yielding going should suit Mr Longfellow here. He is not much of a price, but in this small field he may be able to assert given he has a stablemate to work with and he may be able to find two lengths here….

Ramatuelle has been nothing short of excellent in racking up some taking wins, including latest at group two. Goes on good and soft and good to soft and has been kept up to her work by running every month since April. He may not win by a wide margin but a small bet on him doing it by over five is the call. Oh and he won this race last year off six pounds lower and given his rapid rise up the ratings in chases looks very well treated here.
I’m actually enjoying the racing league.
I like the fact that trainers and their yards are travelling distances to compete even in a team environment. It’s good for prospective buyers and a showcase for the sport in a different spectrum to one we are used to. Cricket has taken the lead in new innovations to attract cash into the game by trying something different. I’m not actually watching the spectacle around the event and am only on the periphery watching for angles to exploit.8:45
