    Timourid
Maximum each way. 22/1 generally available
    440 Ballinrobe
First maximum for this feature comes with the warning that this particular thread is in poor form.
Timourid makes a hurdling debut for Denis Hogan as one of three runners for the yard.
Good young claimer on board who has very little saddle time under his belt but who has ridden 122 rated Bal de Rio to victory twice this year. A very good hands and heels style which will be needed to coax this one into contention.
Timourid has some brilliant flat form having been third to both Gallileo Chrome and Serpentine in successive races. Rated just mid 80s for those two performances, I’d estimate he was value for much more given the Derby and St Leger wins that followed. Hogan may have a very decent hurdler on his hands if he takes to jumping but raw speed is guaranteed.
Fell at the third. Would be no suprise to see this horse returned to the flat as seems untapped potential in the right hands. Would also be no suprise to see improvement jumping with schooling

    8/38

Entered back on the flat rated 80 clomel 2sept.

Been in there with the best of them.
Entered in the Beresford in September.
Should signal return to the office for Ebor winners.

    Karkiyna
    4.50 Tipperary
Johnny Murtagh’s charge is a second consecutive selection from the yard.
Up against History and Ballydoyle who have won this the last four times.
History cost 2.8 million as a yearling and is widely expected to continue the yards winning streak here.
However Karkiyna has some fine form lines in his two fourth places to Homeless songs and Sacred Bridge. Those lines have twice been boosted by Argartha’s two subsequent victories.
Several other horses have franked the form and
Karkiyna is a win and place recommendation.
Thread running just under 20% rate aim will be to get to around 60% in due course.

    Goodwood
    1.50
    Tinderbox win
    Mise En Scene each way
Frankie Dettori doesn’t necessarily have that big meeting first race enthusiasm that was his trademark and that mantle now assumed by Oisin Murphy. But a big chance here with this tinderbox finishing in front of an eye catching debutant Silk Romance who subsequently won very easily at Newmarket yesterday. Mise En Scene ridden by Oisin Murphy is the only unbeaten horse here and has a couple of entries.
Another one worth a mention is Clitheroe beaten by a selection at Newbury on 13aug tempered by jockey booking.

    Mise En Scene
Gets home under a determined ride from Oisin Murphy. 7/1 winner for the thread.
Biggest priced winner of this race in any of the last 14 years.

Sam..Take a look at Object in the 3.05 Ripon today. I think he could be a Dark Horse. Hands and heels win at Newmarket last time out and 4th horse Golden Warrior has since won. Up in class from Cl.4 to Listed but he could be anything. I saw him in the flesh in the paddock and he was an eyecatcher he looked a very forward 2yo.

Interested to hear your opinion as I really like him. Jac :good:

I wouldn’t put you off him.
Looking at the draw stats stall 1 horses have a great record in this race. (Wonderful world)
Problem is there are lots of formlines coming in here from better races.
Flottus for example has had several good runs in decent company.
One horse is unbeaten three wins.
For me Hellomydarlin has been over to France twice and run well behind Atomic force.
Atomic Lady has very strong claims being a course winner and very close 2nd at York in a class 2 to Ever Given.
It is a wide open race.
Serenity is a horse I would take from the Newmarket race. Object is interesting given he readily came through the field and won well.
Wonderful world for the each way and Atomic Lady and Hellomydarlin should go very close.

If I put up a shocker.
Ill put in another selection on here and today is such a day.
Already posted this one on debut when an 11/1 winner.
    Even Running with a penalty
    Sacre Pierre win
    Is difficult to oppose.
    Cartmel 5.20

Good price for a horse that’s won last two runs here over hurdles

    445 Clomel

    Timourid
    each way
    Unseated on hurdles debut lto.
Reverts to the flat and goes into maidens again.
Would be better off handicapping off a lowly rating of 80.
Chance here on thirds in consecutive races to Serpentine and Galileo Chrome last season.
The Derby and St Leger winners.
Doesn’t do much for their achievements if he cannot win a maiden…
May find one too good but a real chance under James Doyle.
Was well worth the wait for this one to come round again. Very clear winner by 3.75 lengths. Won 6/1 from 7s

    Mickey the steal
Is not one to be too keen about taking such a short price.
Run in several handicaps and had more than a few chances.
Best put in a combination trifecta/ forecast

    Red wasp each way

    ——————————————-
No joy with the forecasts but a big winner in Red Wasp @ 7/1 well backed just before the off
As expected Mickey the Steel was a weak favourite and I needn’t have put him in the equation, and plezantly surprised for Jessica Magnier looks a winner in waiting too.
    13/50

Four winners from the last five races, three winners on consecutive days, plus highlighted the chances of Flottus Hellomydarlin and Atomic Lady midweek.

There are better priced horses running today but
    Chestnutter. Win
Ticks all the boxes in the Navan 1.20
5th in a field of 22 to Sacred Bridge last time and two good third places in previous runs to good horses. This is an easier task in this small field maiden than the valuable Ballyhane Stakes contested last time.
Colin Keane completes the list of requirements for a likely winner. Not 7/1 like the recent winners but a bit of value as a most probable winner.

Chestnutter just caught by a first time out horse unexposed with barrier trial experience.
Probably no need to put up a compensation selection as chestnutter did nothing wrong.

78 days ago that went in again despite a massive weight hike.

    Badan Baden
    2.15
Group race selection for I think the first time.
Godolphin attempt to take this race for the fourth time in recent years.
Oisin Murphy is booked to ride
    Passion and Glory
Bin suroor is tasked to carry out the raid on German silverware this time. The horse is in winning form at a lower level and given that that Alphinista came out here and won a few weeks back against one or two of these, Passion and Glory has chances of stepping up.
The oldest horse here at five, will have to give a decent whack of weight to some of these but may be good enough. Be a suprise not to see this one in the mix. Win.
