    GREENLAND
Reappears after a fourth place in a listed race.( Well backed) Had pearling path back in fifth and ran right up to form of previous 1 length second to papillo at the Curragh in a maiden.
Wayne Lordan is reunited with Greenland after riding the Saxon warrior colt when second two runs back. A good fifth on debut behind regal and proud is also in the CV.
Greenland was the meat in the sandwich after Hellsing and Papillo came together in the last hundred yards and was virtually pulled up.
Most likely a top two finisher at worst that day and the drop in class and experience puts him in pole position. Not a big priced choice but with a couple of rivals also fancied who lack experience strong in the market, could be close to evens by the off.
    ———————————————-
GREENLAND was an easy winner and although went off odds on, drifted out to evens as expected during the day. Only slipped to odds on with a couple of defections late in the day.

    Newcastle 4.01
    DEVILWALA
    Win
    Best odds currently 11/1
    (bet 365)
    May drift later.

Tim Easterby’s globetrotting runner has only won once as a two year old. (Aug 2020 Haydock)
All the horses in the next six places at haydock are now rated a minimum of 80.

He’s fallen a long way and is on his third yard. He ran at Keenland( unplaced group 1) and in some decent races at York Doncaster and HQ (4th) has been up in the 100s.
Easterby brings on and rejuvenates horses who have seen better days and this one showed signs of coming to hand last time here.
He was a staying on fourth behind Desert Land.
He came from a long way back and while doing so did not face the kickback too well. He came up the rail and has the opportunity to do so again today drawn in stall 1. He has an outside chance which depends on getting to the front and Rocket Rod hitting the weight wall.
Against those on current form he has little chance.

Course and distance winner with ground to suit has to take all the beating here in these conditions which will suit.

Did it well. Given an excellent tow by Earlofthecotswolds it is nice to see a horse ridden to it’s strengths.
Well done to AGGAGIO Rhys Cutterbuck and Gary Moore. My only winning selection today! Good old soul selection.
    Hexham

    VICTORIA’S PEAK
is long odds on here and understandably so.
The other’s look ordinary and it would be a suprise if she doesn’t win this well.
So the call about this 1/6 shot is the winning distance. Three of the other runners in this line up we’re a long way behind another odds on shot 1/50 and make little appeal.
VICTORIA’S PEAK to win by ten lengths or more
13/8 I’d prefer eight lengths, but the bookies were likely filled in by a few odds on shot’s winning margins yesterday.
    ——————————————–
He couldn’t get the distance probably won by two or three in the end.

    Uttoxetter
    COLDSTREAM
    Win
Last seen finishing third in a competitive maiden hurdle in Ireland. No chance with the winners, but stayed on from a long way back.
The principals next seen battling out the Galway hurdle.
That form looks good enough to win here and run indicated he’d appreciate this step up in trip.
Formerly with Eve Johnson Houghton top rated 71 in the flat. Went to Jalraith Fahey and returns to another new yard in England. Had plenty of flat runs and missed an engagement prior to final run over hurdles in Ireland.

Nought from two selections today so beware!!

    Chepstow 1.50
There is a soft description here and that might just suit
    DESTINY’S SPIRIT
    Win
won last time out over the course and distance.
Asked the question by stewards about the big improvement in form as opposed to when last seen.
Connections pointed to the easier going.
If that is the case then this nursery will suit and Destiny’s Spirit is only running off opening handicap mark (of 54) despite carrying a penalty for the win.
The other massive factor potentially in favour is the jockey mark Winn who claims half a stone.
Add all that together and this horse could be as much as ten pounds well in given normal adjustment. If nothing comes out of the woodwork in this nursery then another good run is likely. A big move on urban Dandy who has been gelded will keep my selection honest and will have to work hard to win here….

A disappointing selection given what transpired at Donny.
A winning 40/1 runner in Polly Pott.
From a deliberately reduced number of selections.
Not quite there yet on the reductions but getting there.
    Chepstow 4.45
WILLINGLY has a very good chance of placng under Mark Winn for mark Usher. Hampered here last time the horse will relish the soft going which renders some runners to statues.
    WILLINGLY
    Place
    Chelmsford 5.05
    CENTREFOLD
    Win
Has been backed all day and may well win.

The place on WILLINGLY and win on CENTREFOLD are singles but would make a double too.

    Mark Loughnane had
Praying mantis for a brief time during which time his mark dropped and he got a win out of him before he went to Ado McGuiness won again last time for new yard.
So in good form and may land the hat-trick at laytown.

    FLYAWAYDREAM
    Win
Ran well to beat metabolt last time and runs here off same mark on handicap bow.
Metabolt won by 4.75 lengths next time out.
If handling the step up in trip looks well treated. Not the typical distance for a Mark Prescott runner.

    DREAM TODAY
    Win
Has a very odd jockey choice of Patrick Mullins. Jumps jockey riding a sprinter.
If he can get to grips then the horse is incredibly well treated. Chased home a group horse last time and runs off a 12 lb lower mark than for turf.
SEVENAL 28/1 (has come into 18s)

In the last at laytown 7.25
ALESSANDRO ALGARDI and Corduan are both rated twenty pounds clear of the field and sixty clear of some others.
Corduan has been off for a long time and is three pounds down from the selection.
    ALESSANDRO ALGARDI
    Win

ALESSANDRO ALGARDI reverse forecast with courdan

Patrick Mullins rides Corduan and goes for a double here having come through to win the previous race.
    ———————————————
Stacks of winners and a forecast over the last day on the soul selection.
Patrick Mullins gets on top and wins well in the last to bring win number two for him on the night. Forecast and win “without” bet landed.
DREAM TODAY definitely the best of those that won at Laytown.

    VADENI
    Win
    Mishriff
Was unlucky when kept in the box last time and with a clear run would got closer. Certainly found every form of trouble, but there was nothing lucky about the way VADENI was handled that day. With improvement likely VADENI may well find the necessary improvement to win again today if handling the conditions.

Waste of a very good horse there.

    HIGHFIELD PRINCESS
    A CASE OF YOU
    ROMANTIC PROPOSAL
    Combination tricast

The globe trotting a case of you has done connections proud and was narrowly beaten in this race last year by romantic proposal.
Turned that around in France next time.
Went to the big meeting in the states and excelled again.Conditions will suit here.
Highfield princess has gone from an ordinary handicapper to group horse in a matter of strides hard to imagine this is the same chelmsford horse. They all have strong cases to win here and look well clear of this big field. It may be worth putting them in a small combination tricast.

    BRIGHTON
    1425
    INSPIRITED
is second favourite here and looks potentially good value to turn over the odds on kyogo.
He has been seen to good effect staying on in all of his runs at Yarmouth and twice on course at Brighton.
I cannot see a reason why he is so much bigger in the market than the market leader. Given that he is proven on the course and open to improvement he looks the value. Stefano Cherchi takes three pounds off the horse’s back and that could be the clincher.
The other horse hung markedly over a mile and will get no cover dropping in trip in a small line up. Certainly bred to be a better horse than the selection and was beaten by an odds on Johnston runner at Epsom.

INSPIRITED a wide margin winner yesterday.

    Leopardstown
    3.10
    GOODIE TWO SHOES
    Win
Could be anything, but looked highly impressive on debut. Beat Ark by 9 lengths into third and nearest rival honeycomb was 4.75 behind over 11 furlongs. Dropped back to 9f today.
Missed two engagements since and yard obviously waiting for ground and right day.
Entered into Ascot’s champion’s group 1 next month.
Drop in trip not ideal today but likely to put this to bed very quickly if good enough.
This horse is owned by the legendary owner and punter JP MacManus and trained by Joseph O’Brien.
