Colin Keane takes over for the first time.
Went wrong in a maiden at Sligo last time.
Going likely to suit here having placed every previous race including a barrier trial.

Excellent weight carrying performance from fountains chief showed a good bit of quality there. As for the other runner at leicester…
Could not respond to the speed and front running tactics of miss tikki.

    Both win
Both have cases to be made.
One looks made for chasing while the other has a shout if no Ill effects after a fall last time.

    KANUKANKAN
    Win and place.
    Rated 107
Series of problems including latest when burst blood vessels ran green.
Has shown ability in most runs albeit early on. Several runs under his belt.
Good newcomers here but after a rest, Kanukankan can come on especially with relationship with Tom O’Brien continuing.

A winner here in may 2021
With new yard and well drawn in stall 9.
A long way down the handicap. Huge field.

    Finally…
    QUEEN OF THE SKIES
    Win
Steps up in trip here following good run behind Sea silk road who went on to win a listed race.
Gets weight from the unbeaten Godolphin runner who has to overcome a long absence and may well do so but is opposable.

    Market Rasen
    1.50

    A maiden hurdle which sees
    Gordon Elliott’s
Fire Squadron debut for a new yard.
Carries a rating of 117 earned with good bumper performances behind DRUMBEAR.
His best piece of form came in a maiden hurdle in which he split full time score and suprise package a horse well known to the forum as graded winner at Sandown for Peter Fahey while full time score went to top Irish honours as a chaser.
Dash of spice is a royal ascot winner who can still put in a good run on the flat. And at this level, if schooled well might take this race in his stride with Sean Bowen booked.
But, given his likely future, he won’t be knocked about just to win and may well need the run.
    So my call is this
FIRE SQUADRON to win without Dash of Spice.
    @ 11/10. (Now 6/5)
Rory and me has two course wins in bumpers but has yet to make an impact over hurdles and it is likely that the top two in the market will run past him here.

    TWO TRIFECTAS

    1st Fire squadron
    2nd Dash of Spice
    3rd Rory and me

    1st Dash of Spice
    2nd Fire squadron
    3rd Rory and me

Rory and me could improve massively here given his two course wins and I’d take my hat off to him if he does… But on the bare form available, fire squadron has been in very good company, has the rating and potential to be better than he has been able to show and the same goes for Dash of Spice, whose flat pedigree gives a lot of potential.

    ASCENDING GLORY
    Each way
    CALIFORNIA GEM
    Win
CG debuts for George Boughey’s yard and is another expensive recruit for AMO racing.
This does not look a race of huge depth and the form on offer of those raced is not special. The horse’s sire has had a few older offspring winning recently. Best of those with a run looks to be Ascending Glory.

Back two here and enjoy the race!
Mr yeats attempts to stay ahead of the handicapper by stepping up in trip with a ten pound claimer.

A very nice race for the fare.
Some honest horses and jockeys there.
Matchmaking a shade lucky to keep the race.
Took the line totally of the other horse and horse was stopped. A bigger yard and there would be a stewards enquiry and the placings reversed. Very straightforward decision there.

Will the result be changed though, now the satchels have been emptied?

    GALAHAD THREEPWOOD

    SAMOS ISLAND
    each way

    GALAHAD THREEPWOOD
The 14 lengths he was behind quid pro quo looks irrelevant now. That one has kicked on another notch in a novice since and the form reads above what is required to win this.
SAMOS ISLAND on hurdles debut is interesting under Stan Sheppard and he has an each way chance here after some good point to point runs.
Correction Samos island has had several runs under rules including bumpers and hurdles but make debut for new yard..
