Prob going to be ground dependent for Saturday but
Certain Lad 22s, win only (boosted)
July 24, 2025 at 22:28 #1736661Green Impact looks a fair price to me 9/1
to be fair you could make a case for all of them
weight for age swayed me towards the 3 y/o’s and his price over Stanhope Gardens pushed me into himGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
July 25, 2025 at 21:39 #1736712Considering the bare form Almaqam brings into the race I thought 10/11 was fair/decent. Been waiting for some ground without firm in the title, I expect that’ll be the case tomorrow. For the ride Shoemark shoehorned, should show sherious ride.
July 26, 2025 at 12:43 #1736789Bay City Roller 11-1.
The more I know the less I understand.
July 26, 2025 at 13:55 #1736809I’ve taken 40-1 ew on Certain Lad
July 26, 2025 at 14:20 #1736815Almaqam for me.
July 26, 2025 at 14:47 #1736819I’ll be honest. I don’t get it.
July 26, 2025 at 14:48 #1736820Alaqam ‘all talk no trousers’ ;o)
July 26, 2025 at 14:51 #1736821Oh dear that didn’t go to plan – writing was on the wall a fair way out as well, need to hope he was badly in need of the run, being his first since May and don’t forget that the winner was a long way behind Ombudsman at Royal Ascot last time out as well.
Is it possible to think that maybe the Sandown win against Ombudsman flattered him a great deal as Almaqam had already had a previous run whereas Ombudsman was making his seasonal debut?
July 26, 2025 at 14:57 #1736823Having looked back at his form prior to Sandown it was nothing to indicate he was anything more than a horse that was maybe somewhere between G2 and G3 level anyway.
July 26, 2025 at 15:00 #1736824Well there’s always an abundance of actual reasonings. Almaqam beat Royal Champion on seasonal debut although RC hadn’t run for just over 2 months.
Also take in the fact that Almaqam really enjoys Sandown. Not quite the same at York first time here. - AuthorPosts
