Green Impact looks a fair price to me 9/1
to be fair you could make a case for all of them
weight for age swayed me towards the 3 y/o’s and his price over Stanhope Gardens pushed me into him

Considering the bare form Almaqam brings into the race I thought 10/11 was fair/decent. Been waiting for some ground without firm in the title, I expect that’ll be the case tomorrow. For the ride Shoemark shoehorned, should show sherious ride.

Oh dear that didn’t go to plan – writing was on the wall a fair way out as well, need to hope he was badly in need of the run, being his first since May and don’t forget that the winner was a long way behind Ombudsman at Royal Ascot last time out as well.

Is it possible to think that maybe the Sandown win against Ombudsman flattered him a great deal as Almaqam had already had a previous run whereas Ombudsman was making his seasonal debut?

Having looked back at his form prior to Sandown it was nothing to indicate he was anything more than a horse that was maybe somewhere between G2 and G3 level anyway.

Well there’s always an abundance of actual reasonings. Almaqam beat Royal Champion on seasonal debut although RC hadn’t run for just over 2 months.
Also take in the fact that Almaqam really enjoys Sandown. Not quite the same at York first time here.
