Was curious to find out what the sponsors Sizer do … Google didn’t help much …

The answer from the trainer was that indeed was to do with mining.
Apparently Mr Potts ( and possible Mrs or both) devised a machine that revolutionised mining.
Hence the name of their horses and the various continents it is now used on.
