Is it me or is this the bet of the season? this race looks Poor for a grade 1 surely his got the beating of these with eyes shut?
talk me out of it people …..
February 20, 2016 at 06:15 #1234446The race certainly won’t lack pace, and first time blinds on SC will be interesting.
February 20, 2016 at 07:16 #1234449I never like blinkers first time on a horse with the best chance anyway.
February 20, 2016 at 08:08 #1234453I had to agree until I read Nicholls betfair column. He says
15:35 – Silviniaco Conti
Has had well documented problems this season with sarcoids, but for the first time since he came back into training in the summer they are not making him uncomfortable. The one that was causing soreness under his elbow has cleared up at last. As a result Silviniaco Conti seems much happier in himself.
Hand on my heart I’d say if I wanted to have him mega fit I wouldn’t have minded another two weeks to have him spot on for this. But Conti has been working nicely since he had a quiet ten days at the start of the year following a procedure to re-cauterise his palate.
I don’t see his dropping back three miles in trip as an issue and if the first time blinkers sharpen him up as I expect then he has a big chance to get his season back on course. He is though as you say better class and should still win. I am on anyway
February 20, 2016 at 09:02 #1234466There were similar positive vibes before the King George which sucked me in and he was beaten miles out….I personally think there are other issues and couldn’t back him if he was 5/1 today…if he was at his best he would be the one to beat…I couldn’t trust him though until I’d seen him finish his race off…would be good to see him back to his best though because I reckon he’d be a serious national contender in what could be shaping up as the best national of all time quality wise…
Would also like to see Dynaste run well with one eye on his chances for the Ryanair…
February 20, 2016 at 14:03 #1234540Thanks for the replys i decided to back him
cheersFebruary 20, 2016 at 14:17 #1234545If SC has got his problems sorted out, he is still a big price
at 11/4 at the moment. I think there are enough questions on
a few of the fancied horses to take a chance on MA FILLEULE.
There are no question marks about her, having won well last
time out in a listed mares race at Doncaster. I fancy her to
do well here and I think 20/1 with Ladbrokes for the Ryanair
could look quite good after today.February 20, 2016 at 15:42 #1234561boooooooooooom
February 20, 2016 at 15:43 #1234562Well done Folly, made those Ascot fences look like hurdles !!
February 20, 2016 at 17:33 #1234566Well done Folly, it was a walk in the park
February 20, 2016 at 18:17 #1234574Nice one Follyhoog. He’s right in the National forefront now, I’d say
February 21, 2016 at 00:14 #1234620It’s well touted he’s not a Cheltenham type, but I’d be sorely tempted to have one last tilt for gold.
