Isn’t that exactly the same thing Bully. If a 2 miler has a turn of foot the best way and sometimes the only way to beat him is set a strong pace and 1. stretch his stamina 2 take the sting out of his tail.
I think I know what you are saying though. He travels well and if the pace was slower he might last longer than most because he does?. In theory that’s ok but if they don’t stay (Like Master Minded) they just stop dead when they have to go win their race. This fellow just doesn’t get the trip on a stiff track it must be extremely doubyful futher will be the answer,
His main victories have come at Sandown Aintree Kempton and Puchestows none of which could be describes as stiff courses.
PN knows exactly what the horse needs, A nice bit of schooling in public round Celters and good ground in Ireland. That was the plan before Chelters and is still te plan afterwards IMO
March 17, 2009 at 03:05 #216930Bukwark – i can’t believe you seriously think Twist Magic wants further? He’s a shorty for me.
I wouldn’t trust the animal over any distance to be honest!!!!
I am in agreemnt and always regard him as a dodgy bet but he was gambled of the board in Ireland and there was huge confidence behind him. Really on QMC form he had a lot to do to reverse form with two horses who beat him at Cheltenham.
Again the stewards never batted an eylid when he did that easily. PN was asked for no sort of explantion on why the horse improved so much.
