I think it’s because it starts with a ‘G’ which isn’t a soft sound (if that makes sense?). And I think of French as a soft, gentle language. Anyway, we can agree that he’s a bloomin’ amazing horse and a worthy champion! I absolutely adore Il est Francais, too, and am gutted that he didn’t win the KG after a performance that took me back to the Dessie years. (name wise I loved Jair du Cochet, too).
December 28, 2024 at 16:57 #1716859Al Boum Photo’s lack of recognition was more due to only turning out a few times each season; more evidence how the Festival is strangling NH racing. I hope CDH goes for the irish Gold Cup; it’s a big prize in it’s own right, not just a prep for Cheltenham

I like it Galopin Des Champs

December 28, 2024 at 18:25 #1716878Wtf. Who cares about the name. If he doesn’t get you excited about jump racing nothing will. So many des champs horses so everybody should be used to it by now surely.

December 29, 2024 at 10:53 #1716925I imagine the bookies are being hit with a lot of short prices accas esp as W Hill are non runner no bet
CH in Champion hurdle
GDC in GC
Sir Gino Arkle
Guys what would you be adding to these 3 for a lucky 15/31 ?
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
December 29, 2024 at 12:46 #1716938Lossiemouth in the mares. Non runner wouldn’t matter it would still be incorporated into the multiple bet.
The more I know the less I understand.
December 29, 2024 at 18:05 #1717000French commentators’ attempts to pronounce Juntos Ganamos are generally even worse.
