Sandown 3.45 2m4H/C Chase
A four horse affair in which Nayodabayo is a short priced favourite around 11/8-6/4. His jumping around here might just prove to be suspect so I’m taking a chance with

Croix de Guerre.
Stance surely has no chance! ÂÂÂ
Fell 3/1

November 4, 2006 at 00:46 #67599Try a Godolphin Lucky 15 @ Windsor – all of whom has excellent chances by my reckoning:
Taranto 1.55
Centaurus 2.30
Scriptwriter 3.40
Narvik 4.10
Also think Librettist will run well in the BC mile, provided he is held up. 16/1 is more than generous
November 4, 2006 at 02:02 #67600Who remembers Bull Run? He’s finally back. This was a decent horse back in the day; backed for the Derby and tipped for the top. I’ll be backing this one unless he drifts like a barge.
I might also back Red Admiral in the November Handicap. A front runner under Richard Hills at a track that favours the prominent. Also trends suggest a bias toward horses carrying less than 9st which puts this one bang on the picture. Stays the trip, handles the ground. Good price too.
I’m also going to back Bertoliver in the 2-y-o sprint, who may well be well drawn in 3 and has much better form than the forecast favourite. Again, this one could make all. Run well at Windsor before.
Finally, for a Windsor Lucky 15, I’m taking a real flyer with Kingsholm in the last. A Windsor 10f specialist at the right end of the handicap who handles the ground and looks to have been understimated. Folio is a big priced danger. Both these horses ran in a hot race at Windsor in May from which numerous winners and placed horses have emerged in the ensuing months.
But the Saturday nap is Gorella in the BC Mile. A race full of speed, (six potential front runners, including the favourite) should set this up for her – a serious hold-up horse with the best turn of foot in the field – in a historically good race for fillies.
Cheers and good luck

I hav’nt been able to do any better than placed horse of late & it seems what i win on soccer i lose on the ponies…….
Maybe time just to concentrate on the soccer ….
November 4, 2006 at 10:11 #67602St Savarin looks value in the 3:40 Windsor – backed him each way at 16/1.
Pinpoint is lightly raced and might still be improving and should have a good chance in the 4:10 Windsor – backed him e/way at 6/1.
November 4, 2006 at 13:04 #67603Short notice I know, but conditions are right for Sparkling Eyes to run a big race
13:20W 1pt ew Sparkling Eyes
November 4, 2006 at 13:29 #67604It was 20/1 when I tipped it up:o

November 4, 2006 at 14:54 #67605i’ve had my eye on Swansea Bay since he went from Bowen to Evan Williams, who is remarkable in finding improvement out of many nackered out horses.
I think this race may have been the plan for a while, he’s fit and has won at the course 3 times.
I usually bet on up and coming horses, as betting on horses tumbling down in the handicap is usually the quickest way to the poorhouse but in this case alarm bells have been going off since i found out he was entered. So i’m on e/w Swansea Bay in 320 winc.
November 4, 2006 at 17:47 #67606Well i don’t know about the rest of you but ive had to wait a long time for a winning day on the ponies…….Group Captain does the business matched @ 12.5s & i did it straight on the nose…..Well with regards to the other two i played my card right….both were trading around 44s out from 40s, so it told me only to have a small EW…..I was on the verge of quitting the ponies & just concentrating on the soccer…..Im delighted because i stuck to my guns & pulled it out of the fire…..
