Gaz you better phone Alan King and tell him what you know because My way de Solzen is declared to run tomorrow.!!!!!
Hmm yes, that suprises me, an awful lot to be honest. He will only run though if he is ok today though following this morning. When i spoke to Alan he was meant to be out until after Christmas, so hopefully he has got him back earlier than anticipated.
I hope for a big run from My Way, i just hope it’s not too soon for him, but Mr King knows the horse better than anyone.
December 10, 2008 at 17:25 #195882Sure obviously he will only run if he is ok.Thats the way with most trainers,….Hopefully he will show a bit of old spark,I wont hold my breath though.
December 10, 2008 at 17:27 #195884In relation to the Ryanair, i am hoping that Voy Por gets an entry in this one, we will find out after Kempton on Boxing Day.
December 10, 2008 at 22:39 #195955I’m not a huge fan of him as a 2 miler as you know but I think the Ryanair will suit him to a tee…..Obviously Alan realises he needs a trip these days and wouldn’t have to improve much if any to shake up the current main contenders………He’s probably the best jumper of the 3 which is very important at Cheltenham
December 26, 2008 at 20:10 #199297After watching the King Geroge, i hope Mr King enters Voy Por for the Ryanair.
I personally think he will take a lot of beating in the Ryanair, come March.
December 26, 2008 at 21:11 #199320He’s got to do surely Gareth?
My friend just called me to ask what I thought as some commentator he was listening onthe radio said he never got the trip today. I think the comentator should find a new job

He was a bit slow at his fences at an importatnt time which is unusual for him but they were going some clip.. Had he jumped better he would have no doubt beaten Jonjos for second.
With the undualtions at Cheltenham it will take somegetting but I can’t see him been beaten because of the trip. I reckon he might just be a better horse at 2m4f as he was at 2 miles and Mr.KIng would have to have lost his mind not to have a go.
Jonjo will be cockaloop with that run from Alberta’s Run…….not bad fora guy who ruins horses
He has run out of his skin and left his last few runs miles behind.I thinkit was GW who said he was a good EW bet in the Gold Cup.He might not be as far off the mark as I thought.
December 26, 2008 at 21:18 #199326I would like to think so, Fists.
Should find out this week, what the plans for Voy Por are, in regards to Cheltenham in March.
He was a bit slow at some of his fences down the back straight on the second lap in the King George VI, today, however i think on the face of it, it was a good run from him on his first trip up to 3 miles.
In regards to not getting the trip, i think they would have been correct, if he had weakened when he seemed to be coming off the bridle, before approaching the final bend. However, he stayed on when he was switched to the farside by Robert, and from there, he stayed on well i think. Albertas Run stayed on well and wasnt stopping at the finish in my opinion.
December 26, 2008 at 22:19 #199337Considering his biggest victory was in the RSA most likely he was just getting going. Be interetsing to see how Exotic Dancer fairs in Ireland…….would sort of make the Gold Cup form very suspicious if he were to beat Neptune Collonges easily which is not beyond the realms of possibility….Ive backed NC but I am not convinced in the least that he is anywhere near the class of Kauto Star and that itwas Kauto who ran below form and not Neptune that ran above form…I do think he is a good horse and could edge it as ED was very disappointing last time out..I know the yard expect ED to go close or even win so the race could go along way to answering a question that bugs a lot of people…….if ED turns him over fair and square Kauto fans are bound to ask": was Denman’s victory as good as it looked?
December 27, 2008 at 03:27 #199403FIST, The real "Exotic Dancer" has nothing to fear from "Neptune"!!,
when they met in Jan 07 even if "Neptune" had stood up he would not have beaten the "dancer" in my opinion and last years Gold cup run was
one of "Exotics" poorest! My moneys on the "dancer" at 7/1
"Voy por" wont be running over 3m again and is defineately on the "Ryanair" shortlist!December 28, 2008 at 20:08 #199860Class form however you look at it Fist! "Exotic" showed his real talent in the Lexus and has done nothing but credit "Kauto"! I would love to see "Exotic" run un the Ryanair now!
December 28, 2008 at 20:12 #199861Voy Por running in the Ryanair, as well as Exotic Dancer, will that happen? ? ?
I really want Voy Por to run in the Ryanair, he will take some beating if you ask me.
December 28, 2008 at 20:22 #199864Gaz, i have just backed "Exotic" on Betfair at 17.5 fot the Ryanair half my stake has been refunded because he has just gone 3.5 Unbelievable!!
December 28, 2008 at 20:32 #199869Now 6 on the machine along with "Voy por" "Noland" and "Tidal bay"
that would be some race!December 28, 2008 at 21:02 #199881My love for the horse has been well documented, but Tidal Bay will still take some beating if he goes for the Ryanair. However, I get the feeling HJ is leaning towards the Gold Cup at the moment with his stable star being targeted at the Pillar Chase.
He tried giving 23lbs to Nozic at Wetherby, yet also gave State Of Play 14lbs and an 8L beating in the race. A great effort, in my opinion.
I wasn’t convinced Sandown would suit him and I had the same feelings about Wetherby. Cheltenham is his track. The undulations of the course and the layout of the fences play to his strengths and I don’t think anything in the Ryanair can match his engine.
The Ryanair promises to be the race of the meeting if all the leading protagonists take their chance.
December 28, 2008 at 22:36 #199907Bosranic, just one small thing – I’ve noticed on a couple of threads you mentioning TB giving Nozic 23 lbs. It was only 18 in fact (not a huge difference, granted, but thought I’d point it out!)
I really think the GC is a huge ask for Tidal Bay right now and the Ryan Air would suit him down to the ground. The Pillar ill be interesting but on Friday’s evidence I’m not sure he’s got enough to mix it with the like of Kauto, Denman and Exotic Dancer over 3 miles plus
December 28, 2008 at 22:44 #199912Voy Por running in the Ryanair, as well as Exotic Dancer, will that happen? ? ?
I really want Voy Por to run in the Ryanair, he will take some beating if you ask me.
Would definitely agree with you there, Gaz. Sir Robert Ogden will want to keep the two apart, and I’d be mighty surprised to see Voy Por in the Gold Cup and Exotic Dancer in the Ryanair. The former would take all the beating in the Ryanair if you ask me.
December 29, 2008 at 02:42 #199980Occasionally i get this feeling that a huge part of the "Jigsaw" has fallen into place, and today i get it about "Exotic Dancer winning the Ryanair"
even if "Voy Por" runs in the same race which is common with Mr Ogdens horses "Exotic"at Cheltenham is Like "Arsenal at Highbury in the Champions league"! - AuthorPosts
