    Lay him – He wins

Back Him – He doesn’t try at all and holds the horse up and comes knowhere.

    Anyone agree?

NEVER had a winner with him.

Hats off to you sir, that’s quite an effort. I don’t know how many winners Ruby Walsh has ridden in his career (some bright forumite will be along shortly to tell us how many) but not to have backed any of them is a real feat.

My own punting achievement is more modest, but I’m quite proud of it. Throughout twenty years of Australian cricket dominance, on every occasion that I’ve backed them to win, they’ve lost. They weren’t trying, either, but that goes without saying.

According to the stats in the Racing Post, 1,599 in Ireland and the UK. There are 1 or 2 more in France, I believe …
