Can anyone explain why on occasions the official ratings, which I assume are gathered from the handicapper, are different.
One example is the 2-20 at Stratford tomorrow.
True Brittania official rating in the RP is 109, yet on the ATR wbsite it is 120.
Who is right. I have noticed this happens quite often.
Views and help appreciated.

No Idea
I’d assume the RP is correct – he won 2 days ago off an OR of 109 (correct on ATR) and wouldn’t be reassessed until next Saturday.
September 4, 2009 at 23:26 #247157I think the RP has it at its current rating, whereas ATR have included an 11Ibs
rise which comes into effect next Saturday – for winning on Wednesday.September 4, 2009 at 23:37 #247164Many thanks.
September 5, 2009 at 03:09 #247239Interesting how True Britannia was awarded an RPR of 86 for the four races before the last one. They were obviously using her as the marker horse to rate the race and the other horses. However, she had an OR of 109 going into the last race – a difference of 23 lbs!
Makes one wonder who has got the juvenile hurdle ratings right, and who has got them out of whack. RP the latter?
