I am delighted to announce that Richard Dunwoody is going to write a fortnightly column for us on The Racing Forum.
Former champion jockey, Richard surely needs no introduction to TRF regulars.
As you know we’re always looking for ways to add something extra on the Racing Forum and it is a real pleasure to have Richard working with us, I’m sure people will enjoy this addition. Richard’s first column is now online here
We’ll post Richard’s articles on both the Horse Racing section and in the Features section of the site.
Here’s a brief introduction from Richard himself.
[i:1hu1extw]To everyone at The Racing Forum –
I’m Richard Dunwoody and I’ll be passing on my latest thoughts to you fortnightly via the Racing Forum.
Those of you old enough may well remember me, particularly my partnership with two of the sport’s greatest horses, Desert Orchid and One Man.
Now a member of the BBC racing team, I also write weekly racing columns for the Daily Mirror, Sporting Life and also have a website http://www.richarddunwoody.co.uk/pay-as-you-win-betting.php?source=RF12, where you can find details of my exclusive Pay As You Win professional racing service. It’s free to join and you only pay for winners!
I have a special offer for TRF members – – if you join using the following promo code RF50 – we will give you your first £50 of winners FREE.
I look forward to you reading my first bulletin at The Racing Forum.
Yours
<b>Richard Dunwoody</b>
[/i:1hu1extw]December 11, 2010 at 12:06 #332076This is great news; for a start it will give me a chance to thank him for all the charity work he has done over the years [and the time and effort he put into the Desert Orchid Fan Club all those years ago].
December 11, 2010 at 12:55 #332086Welcome to "TRF" Richard.
Regards

Great stuff, look forward to reading it.
An echo the comments of the poster above regarding his work for charities.
December 11, 2010 at 16:18 #332150Excellent addition.
Welcome to you Richard.
Always one for an adventure.
Hope you have the stamina for TRF.Value Is EverythingDecember 11, 2010 at 18:14 #332168Excellent addition.

Hope you have the stamina for TRF.Ginge, I don’t think he’ll be posting on here, just writing a fortightly column and promoting his tipping service.
Great jockey he was, though. I remember staying behind after racing at Wincanton in ’99 after he broke the record for number of winners. Also enjoyed reading his book, Obsessed.
December 11, 2010 at 19:13 #332176The blog up above is virtually identical to the one that appears on Sportinglife.com
December 11, 2010 at 19:45 #332180Looking forward to be able to join your tipping service.

Snake oil, anyone?
December 11, 2010 at 20:47 #332190Viz Top Tip:
jockeys – instead of suddenly becoming betting experts after you retire, try to develop a keen working knowledge of the betting market while still in the saddle. This is the period of peak earning potential in your life. You may find that your psychic powers, and the amount you can charge for them, rapidly evaporate the day you quit the saddle.
December 11, 2010 at 23:18 #332209Call me a cynic, but if he already writes columns for the Mirror & SL, why post a virtually identical column on here & then advertise his tipping service.
He isn’t going to join in debates etc so what is the point only to try & attract more subscriber’s to his service.
He’d do exactly the same for any other racing forum. It’s free advertising.December 11, 2010 at 23:21 #332210Corm,whatever you"re paying the King of all Jockeys for his contributions,i"ll do it for half! I guarantee i could post more winners on here than King Richard and its all about winning money this game!

I realise that Mr. Pilsen.
It was a play on Dunwoody’s adventures to the pole etc.
Value Is EverythingDecember 12, 2010 at 00:27 #332217Do think people should give Richard a chance. If it turns out to be nothing but an advertisement, then say so at the time. To call it so now is just bad manners.
Value Is EverythingDecember 12, 2010 at 00:37 #332220But the majority of his blurb is an advertisement. Great to be with RF etc. I write for SL & the Mirror. I rode famous horses, now here’s the info about my tipping line.
