Well done Ginge, and all Magic Wand backers. You didn’t have much to
worry about, she was a clear cut winner
I don’t think Wild Illusion gets the trip. That’s twice the O’Brien fillies have cleared away in the closing stages and she has had nothing left to respond. Surely a drop in trip is on the agenda.
Magic Wand did it nicely and loved the ground today.
Sun Maiden ran with credit but this seemed a bit too much a bit too soon and it’s probably worth noting that she got 3 lbs from a filly who didn’t see the trip out in second spot. Probably wiser to frame it as getting a 5 and a half length beating from the winner conceding 3 lbs.
The race pretty much went to the perceived plot drawn up beforehand.
