    Nice little piece. There;s a pub somewhere on the road to Scarborough, possibly, called the Grey Desire I think.

    There must be more references to famous horses?

    There’s a pub in York called The Brigadier Gerard which I’ve long thought is rather ironic :)

    And in Harrogate there’s one named The Little Wonder after the 1840 Derby winner

    Actually I’d guess there’s many ( hundreds?) pubs named after racehorses
