I’ve sent a PM to Zorro about this but he may not pick it up for a while so need to ask here! <!– s:D –>:D<!– s:D –>

I have a friend who needs to see a specialist about a neck injury. The ones he has seen aren’t up to much so I suggested he see one that has had some experience with jockey injuries. I know a few in Australia but it’s a bit far for him to go!

Any suggestions people as to who I might contact?

    Thank you in advance

    or Danke vielmad as we say here <!– s:lol: –><!– s:lol: –>

If your friend has a support problem
I might offer advice, if it is congenital,
    whiplash or difficult injury strain
    I wouldn’t know.

My neck on last measurement was two
and a half inches in width.
My head is large from birth so
    I have a support problem.
    My apple, definitely whilst eating,
    adds another half an inch.
    I lie
    three eighths :(

    I use two dog collars
    vertically placed
    one above the other.
The man in the shop told me
    they were suitable
    for chihuaha or shih Tzu.
    I lie
    I sent a friend in :(

Thanks Gamble (I think  ) It’s an injury he got while diving (deep sea stuff) and it affects his triceps so he can’t climb properly anymore.
I have emailed a Dr MIchael Turner so hope to hear back from him later on.

If you are where I think you are (quite near the German border if I’ve got Regensdorf correct), he might be best off dealing with the world famous Dr. Mueller-Wohlfahrt, reckoned by many to be just about the best physio in the world. The man himself is a bit busy with Bayern Munich at the moment, but he does have physio teams all around Germany. More details at:

    Hope this helps.

What a super AngloGerman you are! Thanks Darren. Regensdorf is a suburb of Zürich and unfortunately the patient is in the UK. But it could be an idea to get him out here!!!! Zome would approve!
Much appreciated though and will keep this info to hand in case he flys in and we head to Munich:D

If you need someone in this country, then I’d recommend having a chat with Mark Bradburne; not only is he a qualified physio, but both he and Gee have successfully dealt with neck/upper back damage so will certainly know the best course of action.

Has Bradburne chucked it as a jockey, rory?

He used to get on some nice animals of Henry Daly’s not so long ago, but I haven’t seen his name against a horse for ages (not that I’ve been checking too close, mind).
