Thanks so much for the reply Gareth.

Even though Locki didn’t really make it as a racehorse, he looks lovely (as does Guymur) and I am sure they will both give you many happy years of pleasure, as you will no doubt give to them.

It is so nice to see these beautiful animals going to caring responsible people. :D

    Good on you, Gareth.

If I ever shoot-out, it’s good to know that a PM to you will get me a roof over my head. :D 8)

I gather TBs make better drag hunt mounts than coventional hunters, sprinters make great endurance mounts etc. What is everyone elses take on tbs in other equine disaplins?

A stack of retrained horses are making their name in the show ring, eventing and even dressage.

They make paticularly good eventers and Tina Cook has quite a few either ex track horses or bred for the track horses. Underatandably really since she is the sister of Nick Gifford and daughter of Josh. Many top eventers take more than a passing interest in racing and Mark Todd even trained a classic winner in New Zealand.

The Retraining of Racehorses website has a lote of good information.

Great stuff Gareth, you will have made them very happy, and I’m sure they already have, and will continue to give you much happiness too. :)

That’s brilliant Gareth, well done to you. I have a weakness for horses with a white blaze too, and those look beautiful animals.
