I am tempted to try the free months trial. What puts me off is the fact that to cancel your subscription before the end of the month you have to phone up. The lines are only open Mon -Fri 9-5 so I am bit worried that it will be impossible to get through.
Has anybody tried this free month in the past?
June 6, 2020 at 00:59 #1489795I have a free 4 day Racing TV pass courtesy of Newmarket racecourse. They have kindly given this to all their annual badgeholders as a concelation for missing the Guineas meeting.
We have to ring on each of the 4 days to activate the pass with a code.
Each time I have rung it has taken about 10 minutes to get through but I had a query and rang when racing was on air and got through in less than 5 minutes so that could be the best time to call to deactivate your free trial.
They do say they are available 7 days a week 8.00am-9.00pm
Check their website .. customer services

I did ensure I contacted them early in the day should there be any problem and it was in normal times…
June 6, 2020 at 06:34 #1489805I have never experienced any problems contacting RTV. They have always answered promptly.
If only their app was as good as the customer service. It is slow and frequently crashes.
June 6, 2020 at 10:29 #1489851Triptych the current offer has to be activated before the end of Monday 8th June.
June 6, 2020 at 10:32 #1489853Thanks chestnut I’ll set it up tomorrow when I phone to activate my 4th day pass.

Quick reminder, Jac, that Ascot is a Sky Sports Racing course and not on Racing UK.
June 11, 2020 at 00:27 #1490354I used mine on TV only(Sky). Thinking back, I had some difficulty getting it initiated online so had to phone them.
June 11, 2020 at 09:30 #1490363Thanks Gladiateur
I think that’s decided me not to go ahead and just watch ITV coverage on Royal Ascot and my backed horses in the later races on the Paddy Power site.Have downloaded the RacingTV App on my mobile and it is excellent with video replays, tips and trainer and jockey comment plus much more all for free.
unlike Racing Post where you are restricted from some information unless you join their Members Club.
Worth a look if you don’t have it already
Jac

June 13, 2020 at 19:21 #1490580The live stream is only about 3 inches big on Betfair etc. What is the point of having a picture that small and is there a way to increase it to viewable proportions?
June 13, 2020 at 21:06 #1490599I have always wondered that Yeats (Betfair screen very small)
Racing Tv great for Irish racing.
June 14, 2020 at 08:14 #1490623Yes, there is a way to increase the size of the picture. Just use the features of whatever browser you employ to zoom in, the same as you would to increase the size of the text for a normal page.
I can give the detail for Firefox, which is what I use. The Live Stream picture opens in a pop-up window. Top right of that window is the three bars that you click on to access the options. Then use the zoom ‘+’ button to grow the size of the picture box – I go from 100% to 300%. Then make the window full screen size and you have a watchable view of the race.
