And another thing…the content of the bloodstock section has been given a right battering, for no apparent reason other than the incompetence of the project management, designers, systems analysts, programmers and testers.
For example, I can’t see any of the pedigree analyses by Tony Morris and his pals. The Grass Roots articles have disappeared as well. What a shower, eh?
Yes it takes longer loading, but i must say that it is far better than it was. The way in which you can eliminate horses and to show all the spotlights at the same time, really is helpful.
If you can get that far.
I gave up trying to load the site mid-afternoon and went elsewhere. It is more difficult to get to where you want because the home page is full of stuff that should be elsewhere ,- more links less content needed.
Now, the RUK videos are the only thing that keep me trying the site
Does anyone know how to access cards for future races (If you don’t know the exact date of the race)? This was an easy feature of the old site but seems to have disappeared?
If you know the name of a horse in a future race, search for that horse and select it.
Then go to entries, and click on the race.I’ve only read a few posts on this string, so your query might have been answered by someone else already.
I haven’t bothered yet to find out another way to access a race that isn’t on either today’s or tomorrow’s card.
I use a similar method to access a past result: search and click on a horse, go to form and then click on the winner or second in the race column (depending upon whether your horse was beat or the winner, respectively). Not a very good method if you don’t know any of the combatants!
I’ve only been on the Internet for the past few weeks, so I don’t really know how the old Racing Post website worked.
I’ll work through this string, and get to know how to use the RP website and take advantage of its facilities later this week.
I no longer have too much trouble using Internet Explorer 7. whatever with it, but I mainly use firefox 3 whatever.

But i must say, the new RP website is far much better than it was!
You must be loooking at a different website. The navigation is awful, it’s hard to find anything, the standard race card is a mess, the at a glance card while better is missing basic information. The sorting option and being able to remove runners seems of limited use.
Revolutionary more like evolutionary except a step backwards.
Showing all the Spotlights was available on the old site.
I only had about £8 or £9 in my Racing Post wallet, form the old site. I can’t find any trace of the wallet on the new site? Has anyone had the same problem? Or am I missing the whereabouts of the wallet on the new site?

It seems that ‘wallets’ are suspended pro-tem.

) on the new site without any notification of any change in the contents of mine.Thanks reet hard, I appreciate your commets. I have to admit to watching replays, but assuming I wasn’t actually being charged, as I, like you, have not been informed of any change to the credit in the wallet. Thanks again.

It’s mostly the speed that annoys me now. On my PC it can take up to 10 seconds to load a race result which soon adds up when your’e trying to get through 3 or 4 races- I want my life back!

At least this is an announced outage as opposed to all the unannounced ones we have suffered – so I suppose we can call that progress
I’m annoyed because the new racecards don’t have ballot marks on them so I have no idea if Chamerion has a ballot mark on Friday or not.
Will have to buy the paper tomorrow in order to find out.

42 entries, max field 12 but race will probably divide.
Chamerion ballot mark of 29(out of 30) so I’d say she will defintely get a run.
Not that I’m aware of SL,not quite got your standing in the ownership ranks.

Just the ten seconds ! I think you’re one of the lucky ones. It even takes me a few seconds to close a page or even to scroll down. Its driving me mad. My wife wondered the other night what I was shouting at
What gets me is that it is often trying to access Googlemap. Surely it only needs to do this if you want to look at the course details – and how rarely is that?

For 6 hours re-programming the ‘enhancements’ are few, and certainly haven’t improved the speed.
Disappointing puts it mildly.
