First ever post anywhere. Is there any milage in backing the 2nd, 3rd & 4th favourites in handicap races where the odds allow. On Saturday I monitored the following:
Carlisle 3.10 1st3/1, 3rd11/4, L
3.45 1st11/4, L, L
4.55 1st7/2, 3rd14/1, L
Stratford 3.15 3rd6/1, L, L
4.25 L, L, L
Plumpton 2.20 1st5/1, L, L
3.30 1st15/2, L, L
April 20, 2003 at 19:16 #47190You need to monitor it for another day at least to find a winning system.
It should work after 2 days that’s not saying all systems work after a 2 day trial but this one will.
April 20, 2003 at 20:56 #47191Hello Adge and welcome to TRF.
I would check out Adrian Massey’s site of where he lists all the "stats" of 1,2 & 3 favourites before parting with your money.

April 20, 2003 at 22:10 #47192Hello Adge and welcome … this won’t work, don’t even contemplate this one. I followed a system for a couple of months a few years back which selected the first, second and third fav’s in the HCP with the fewest runners on the day (not less than 5) … guess how long the losing run was … 12 days … the problem with following plans like this is that they can work quite the thing for a while, a month or so and then they don’t for a month or so and you’re back to square one, at best.
Once again welcome.
