This antipost market looks like an absolute minefield and there is no standout horse here for the third year running.

I’m not one that’s in the King of Change camp personally. The conditions on Champions Day were so bad, they nearly cancelled it, so it has to be at least questionable that form. There are quite a few further down the list that might interest me if they are definitely running, but hard to be confident they will. Of the Godolphin horses, I’m pretty sure I read Quorto will come back steadily this season, so likely won’t run, Barney Roy is being targeted at the Prince of Wales and SBS has already said Benbatl will come back later this season.

Circus Maximus therefore, looks a little bit of a standout price here I think. He’s very reliable. 3 of the last 4 winners of the Queen Anne recorded RPRs of 120, 118, 120 (the one exception was 125 and I don’t see where that figure would come from this season).

Ignoring his Santa Anita run(because it’s always wise to be careful with US form). His 8F form reads 121 since Derby day, with RPR 118,119,119.

That’s going to put him in with a great chance, by AOB who you’d trust with horses first time out more than other trainers and I think a straight Ascot mile with a fast pace should suit him.

AOB is quoted as saying this will be his target. 8/1 looks like very decent value to me.

    Circus Maximus 8/1

Apart from the Godolphin horses and King of Change, I haven’t seen anywhere or read anything about the others Jack no. I’ve gone down through the list on oddschecker today and you can make a decent case for nearly all of them, but they are very average looking at this level. It looks like another glorified Grp2 this year.

PK would be interesting if they came over, but none of them I look at and think Circus Maximus couldn’t beat them.

Frenchy, you’ll be happy to see Persian King dec’d at Chantilly on the 10th.

    I like king of change

Unexposed, second in the guineas and did it very well when stepping up to group 1 level for the first time

Price is a bit on the skinny side now but iv had him in a few multis

Mohaather is also one I like, but thinking he might be more of a 6f/7f horse

I too like King of Change.

Hannon keeps saying he’s in the same league as Toronado and Canford Cliffs. He’s a group 1 winner and improving with every run. He’s the only one in the field that’s really exciting and could be proper top class. If he’s beat, it’s an average group 1 yet again.

King of Change to miss the Queen Anne due to the fact “he is actually rubbish and needs a bog to have any chance of winning anymore Group 1s”

Well Richard Hannon said words to that effect anyway! ;-)

Circus Maximus as short as 7/2, over the moon I got on just in time!

I’m going to wait until I hear anything but I’d be interested in King Of Comedy for this if he goes. Looked to me like a horse with potential with another year on his back.
Only a neck to find with Circus Maximus on last year and 3 times the price.

Wow, after looking at the decs today, I really can’t see past Circus Maximus, AOB comments, “he’s in great form and needs a strong pace mile” Ascot is that and they’ve declared a pacemaker also it looks like. With the exception of Mustashry who should be respected if coming back to anything like his lockhinge form, this is totally a Grp 2/3 field and I think even 3/1 Circus Maximus now is value so I’ve chipped in a little more.

I won 66/1 on Accidental agent this race back in 2018. So will definitely have a small e/w bet on him out of nostalgia. I know he is 6 yo now but loves the Ascot track, so who knows…i might hit the bumper again :yahoo:

Another horse I like is One Master. Ultra consistent horse who hardly runs a bad race. Ran Donjuant Triumphant close on 6f champion sprint here in october. He will definitely stay a mile and got good chance :good:

Good luck with AA Austin, I did him EW last year so not again!

One Master doesn’t quite get a mile for me, had every chance last year but just couldn’t get home. EW chance for sure but can’t see her winning in what should be a strong pace.

Same for Mohaather really not sure a mile will be his optimum this season can see him doing well in all the 7f races though

Looks wide open now Hannon’s wonderbeast is out
If this were Goodwood then Billesdon Brook would be a lot shorter than 20’s
She was very close to winning the other day before being gunned down late by a decent horse. Hannon’s have looked like needing the 1st run so that should have put her in decent condition

Interesting that Gosden has decided to run Terebellum here. Not 100% sure of her level though she’s probably marginally big at 14s with Frankie probably taking the ride.

Form is untested and Circus will be toughish to beat but, Fox Chairman to me has always looked like he needs further- for all i really like him. Headman won’t go will he? Lord North won’t either i don’t think anyway? Roseman, decent-ish? She has scope to shorten i reckon.
