That’s a good idea. Put that rule in place, get rid of the Ryanair then we could have Energumene, El Fabiolo, Impaire et Passe, Facile Vega, Jonbon and Constitution Hill in the QMCC.

“G, good luck with your Corach Rambler bet.”

    Thanks. 👍

I’m sure you’ll be joining me soon on that bet.

“I remember reading an article by Kevin Blake about two years ago in which he suggested novice status should be reviewed in mid-season. Any horse above a certain rating would then be no longer eligible for novice races and forced to run in open company. It would make those races more competitive.”

Could do something similar to the flat where 3yos get a weight concession from the older horses

Do the same with Novices getting a few lbs off the older brigade

I printed this off the back of 10am in the Meydan Thursdays Thread,
I’ll copy it here although some prices have changed………

Two that I’ve been looking forward to today. Life In The Park was a real
eyecatcher last time out in a Novice Chase at Limerick. Looked to be too
far back coming to the last but got up a real head of steam and was closing
on the front 2 and would have got there in another couple of strides. Won
a H’cap Hurdle at last year’s Festival. I think 138 underestimates him for
    his 1st H’cap Chase

It’s On The Line finisheed with a real rattle for 2nd at the Cheltenham
Festival but then tipped over at the 10th (The Chair) in the Foxhunters.
Derek O’Conner gets on well with him and if he has gotten over his fall
at Aintree is due a decent race like this

2.15 Punchestown Life In The Park 9/2 Betvictor

    6.35 Punchestown It’s On The Line 5/1 Bet 365

    (and a wee double)

    Good luck all :good:

Most of the rain passed northeest of the course last night and it’s a dry day, so I added Authorized Art ew to my Grandero Bello bet. He might take over Easy Game’s mantle for a good ground chaser over this sort of trip.

    4.15 Adamantly Chose 6/1
    5.25 Piep Piper EW 18/1
    6.00 Champ Kiely 5/1
    6.35 Chris’s Dream 5/1

Some favourites have to underperform for me.

    Ballyadam Ew @ 14/1 5 places 5.30 Saturday

Been waiting a while for him to run over further than 2 miles for some reason. Not won one yet but ran some great races in these big handicaps over the last year or so keeping on well in all of them.

He looked all over the winner in the county on ground softer than ideal and if he improves for the trip could have a decent chance.

What CH did to State Man at Cheltenham really was sensational.

Kilcruit enjoyed himself today, a grade 1 horse on his day and Authorized Art just not up to the task of staying with him. Grandero Bello ran a decent race and paid back his stake for me so I’ll keep following him.
Impervious was just brilliant, Instit doesn’t like being headed and her decent jumping got worse when challenged. Allegorie de Vassey the disappointment of the season. Either something’s wrong or she’s just not all that. Not betting her again, even right handed.
State Man as expected stays over hurdles, I’m surprised there was mention of Impaire et Passe doing likewise, not built for it, doesn’t jump like it, what’s the point.
Its on the Line was very, very game, pleased with that.
Arctic Bresil too keen then faded, still not given up hope on him. Firm Footings was rubbish like a lot of Gordon’s horses this week.
The bumper was rough, I was hoping Irish Panther could hang on but the winner did it fair and square.

Terrible week so far for me. Chris’s Dream looked cruising there in the Hunters Chase, but unfortunately fell. Let’s hope Sandown will deliver a better season ending.

WD Sam, Green and BigG with Its On The Line.

Impaire et Passe was a bit underwhelming today after that monster Cheltenham run
