Mullins senior seemed very certain about the Stayers.
I think they would be mad not to go for it. He will only be 6 next year. Plenty of time to go chasing afterwards.
April 27, 2023 at 15:09 #1645684Despite the advice I gave you Nathan, I’m leaning towards getting a bet on him for the stayers 8/1, if Papa Mullins seems sure then that’s good enough for me!
Like Cork has said, his age must help tip the vote in favour of a go at the stayers.
April 27, 2023 at 15:18 #1645686I got on at 8’s last night.. he paid for it himself after his win
love Gaelic Warrior talk.. I still think its open where he goes, as long as he stays safe and sound I really don’t mind whichever route they takeBlackbeard to conquer the World
April 27, 2023 at 15:40 #1645691Snapius at 20-1 for a bit of interest here
April 27, 2023 at 16:21 #1645695Dinoblue is a hardy nailer, doing well to accelerate like that after two tough races.
April 27, 2023 at 16:46 #1645697In the La Touche Cup I’ll take the two Peter Maher outsiders Alpha Male 50/1 ew and An Droichead Eile at 80/1 ew.
April 27, 2023 at 16:52 #1645699Alpha Male 50-1 ew for me, but I’m very much out of my depth here

Monkfish has never been out of the first two under rules and he must be here for a reason.
MONKFISH
Win
SUMMERVILLE BOY
Each way
Has shown big improvement lately and deserves something out of this.
Has to get past the stars though and klassical dream has won here two years running.
Sire du berlais has only won at Cheltenham aintree and Navan…April 27, 2023 at 17:22 #1645703Punchestown 5:25
The Sire to win and retire and 13/2 and Ashdale Bob at 14s both win only.
April 27, 2023 at 17:26 #1645706Teahupoo out to 3’s
i’ll take a chance on thatBlackbeard to conquer the World
April 27, 2023 at 17:34 #1645708Great race.
Blackbeard to conquer the World
April 27, 2023 at 17:34 #1645709That was a PERFECT ride……
April 27, 2023 at 17:54 #1645713Ews on Parmenion (cos Willie fancies him) and Haxo (cos I never learn) 6 places
Dysart Dynamo for the lolz, I don’t think his fall will have affected him, as my mother used to say about our old terrier “You couldn’t insult him”April 27, 2023 at 18:18 #1645717Just working through this, great shout with Franciscan Rock yesterday Grass, outstanding.
I’m having a brutal meeting, so will only bet a couple tomorrow, but have had an early bet on Sam Brown in The Pat Taaffe at 14’s. Calling myself a few names for not backing his winner there.
No matter what happens with my last two bets tonight, it’ll only be Elimay and Sharjah for me tomorrow
April 27, 2023 at 18:32 #1645722G, good luck with your Corach Rambler bet. Spent all this season saying that he’d be stepping outwith handicap company soon, and said he’d be a Gold Cup horse before his Ultima win. Did I bet him for Ultima? No. Did I bet him for National? No. Did I take the 90’s available for The Gold Cup before his Aintree win? No
Deserve all I get for that stupidity, but I think you’ll get a run for your money
April 27, 2023 at 18:47 #1645724El Fabiolo is a machine. To win like that every time hitting fence after fence is unbelievable.
He’d probably have gotten CH off the bridle in the Champion Hurdle.April 27, 2023 at 19:26 #1645731The only disappointing thing about seeing El Fabiolo win like in such a manner is that it was only in novice company.
I remember reading an article by Kevin Blake about two years ago in which he suggested novice status should be reviewed in mid-season. Any horse above a certain rating would then be no longer eligible for novice races and forced to run in open company. It would make those races more competitive.
What would you rather watch? Energumene and El Fabiolo both win at long odds on, or the two of them going head to head?
