I had studied the race on Friday Placemat and
Tajneed
was quoted as only running if ground conditions were suitable!! Bearing in mind Tajneed performs better on the softer side of good.i was under the impression the ground was on the faster side of it!
Tajneed is a Ripon specialist and has beaten Abraham Lincoln from the 6 box this year so the draw wouldn"t have bothered me,his rating was 7lb higher yesterday and 3lb higher from last week but this was a weaker race so again he had to have every chance! My "Cockup" was thinking his stable companionSonny Red
was thrown in and being owned by the same connections as Tajneed would prefer the ground!I had every chance to back Tajneed who ticked plenty boxes and being someone who watches market forces could see he was a well supported favourite!A bad error of judgement i"m afraid on my behalf, thankfully i only had an interest bet of £16 on Sonny Red but i should have really had a good bet on the winner particularly after having a good chat with Trotter about him at Nottingham races the week before about his chances in the Great St Wilfrid!
It just goes to show TAPK is only human and not a Robot after all!
I also left the race then I got a text telling me the spoiler in the race was a non runner, very late nr too.
so then I thought Tajneed was spot on.Ground drying out so the draw bias would shift back but not dry enough to stop him.I took 5’s.
The race the week before.Tajneed had it all in his favour except one thing 4-1 was a joke.I backed the winner really out of knowing that on his best day ,he could beat tajneed, plus the rest of the field had it all to do.August 23, 2010 at 16:44 #314392jesus h christ placemat, could you aftertime some more please?
Fwiw I’ve backed 18 winners in a row today, all at high prices in-running, just looked at the cards and thought I couldn’t lose. Also place laid every horse that was out of the frame. Good day really.August 23, 2010 at 17:15 #314397jesus h christ placemat, could you aftertime some more please?

you must be a loser big bucks. I put my tips up and comment after. If you dont like **** off !!

I take it you’re the person who complained about me to the mods. Why? If you don’t like what I write don’t go there.
Must be hard to find out you’re clueless but this a platform to write about racing . What you call afters is comments after I have tipped them win or lose. What’s wrong with that?August 24, 2010 at 14:02 #314503Behave yourself ffs. You are nowhere to be found on this thread until popping up and gloating about winners you think you had…so do us a favour and stick to your magical fantasy threads you can aftertime all you want there yeah?
I haven’t contacted the mods about you, why would I? I pity the aftertimers, it’s a very sad thing to see, understood?
August 24, 2010 at 15:14 #314513you’re a total dick !! Do you always make an idiot out of yourself ?

I wonder why your thread periodically gets hijacked by argumentative posters?
Maybe you should set up a bare knuckle thread and we can both make some money betting on the outcome….or at least on who can make the most abusive post.

Actions speak louder than words Chelters! Unfortunately the only way to knock someone out on here is with words! Poor old Reet hard has taken a pasting from me!
August 30, 2010 at 21:00 #315206TAPK has been keeping his powder dry of late but i see a horse i have been keeping my eye on runs tomorrow at Ripon,
Mirrored
ran his best race for sometime at Beverley last time out when running on well without being hard pushed,he certainly has the ability to win this even off top weight.I have had a £50 win at 5/1.

September 6, 2010 at 21:03 #316223There has defineately been a bit of a lull of late, these are the times when your resolve is tested, its very easy to bet for bettings sake and when you bow to such temptation you inevitably start a losing run. I am as guilty as the next man for chucking the odd fiver away on a race that i have not looked into, more times than not i lose.On the other hand when i study my big race targets and i put what i call a serious wager £50-£100,my strike rate is 2nd to No one bar Tom Segal who i respect as a serious judge on a day to day basis,as far as Ante-Post goes there"s only one King! I noticed Ladbrokes have made a bit of a stand against
Workforce
in being the only bookmaker to offer 10/1 about him winning the Arc,now Ladbrokes are notorious for their "Early warning system" reflecting in their prices and when they are biggest it usually means Non runner in the Ante-Post world but on this occassion i am putting my faith in Sir Michael freshening the Derby winner up for a trip to Paris and have had £100 e/w at 10/1,obviously Fame and Glory,Sariska and Youmzain have my utmost respect but none possess the toe of this fellow,he will handle any ground too which helps!

September 9, 2010 at 18:59 #316738Come on TAPK! Get a ripple on. Been waiting for some more of your fancies.
Some good pro tipsters seem to think a lot of Victoire De Lyphar, so I’ve put a bob on him for the Ayr Gold Cup.

You not been watching Racing UK Grimes? Nick Luck bowed down to me last night live on air!
I told himTotal Command
was freely available at 55"s on the machine for the St Leger and would run a big big race! Then there is
Workforce
for the Arc at 10"s
Ransom Note
for the Cambridgeshire at 12"s,
Ajaan
for the Cesarewitch at 25/1!
Victoire de Lyphar
is the most progressive horse in the Ayr Gold Cup but Dandy has Tajneed,Striking Spirit,Redford and of course
Evens and Odds
September 10, 2010 at 20:58 #316975This one will surprise a few but i know how Barry Hills targets races at Doncaster for his string and i reckon we will see the real
Ouqba
tomorrow in the Group 2 Park stakes! Anyone who saw Shakespearean beat him fair and square and Premio Loco doing the same will think I"m mad but i shall give Ouqba another chance as i believe 7f and a flat galloping track will show his true ability,i have had £50 e/w at 9/1 with William Hills.
