Hi Daz, three losers to finish the month with, leaves us at decision time. Its time to drop the pyramid staking, that got us nowhere, level stakes were by far the best. I’m gonna look at my own "ratchet" method over the weekend so we can try starting a new month with a new staking plan, in the meantime, we’re happy with levels……. aint we…..

    Level Stakes + 24.33pts…..
Pyramid + 18.63pts….

you can finish the pyramid off with a final bet of 3pts on the first bet on Monday, cos a good price will turn it around but basically, its crap, and is only a weak form of retrieval staking….. it was worth a try cos it gives you some comparisons when held against levels, but time to ditch it I think……. hope you had a cracking weekend….

Hi Daz…… OK, I’ve found a bit of time… hehehe…. I’ve applied the "Ratchet to yours and it works out that you’d win a million quid in 1 year…. :o … don’t wet yourself though cos most of it is all balls cos it just can’t happen. Its just a guideline to set your preferred targets and enables you to do the correct thing and plan your betting before you execute any bets, you must get discipline. As your system went this past month, you would have doubled your starting bank by 21st August, you only started on 25th July, so its slightly less than a month. If you start with a £500 bank and double your bank every month, after 11 months you’ll reach that million….. its not possible of course, but it does show you the power of figures, and how you can juggle them to fool yourself into thinking you’ve found the pot of gold. What it does do is bring a spot of reality to the situation and proves what disciplined and careful staking can achieve. I have been skint most of my life, I don’t mean broke, just that with a family to bring up, I have had the need to spend (or bet) money wisely….. hahaha…. thats a contradiction in terms ennit….. so I will always protect my bank as much as I can, whilst accepting the risk that I could lose it. If I did lose it, it would take the bookies a bloody long time to get it off me…. … this is the art of picking the correct method of staking for your particular system and sticking with it until the bank is blown. I even protect myself against that because I have a reserve bank, I split my total bank down the middle, half becomes the reserve bank and the other half is my "working" bank, I wont go bust……. rather than rabbit on your thread, I’ll continue this back on the other thread, and if anyone is interested, I’ll go through it in more detail…….
