Everyone hates that bloke who starts threads about French races just to look big and clever – the same bloke probably thinks it’s terribly sophisticated to go to Cafe Rouge, even though that’s just “Red Cafe” in French.

Anyway, looks a good race and it’s a Group 1.

    Pretentious?

    Moi?

I’m a bit confused to see Above The Curve being favorite on the PMU. I thought the Nassau was a pretty messy race and the form isn’t easy to assess.

I’ll go EW with Trevaunance 28/1 and Pleasant Jane 40/1. A very interesting race and if Via Sistina is anywhere back to her Curragh form the 2/1 on the French Tote should be pretty good.

ERL, you don’t need me to tell you that the latest show and the actual dividend are invariably two different things.

Ian, one minute before post-time Via Sistina trades at 2.2 on the PMU, 2.8 on GenyBet and 3.2 on PMU.fr

Now, she’s heading more towards the 6/5 – 6/4 mark… Which are both more realistic

I haven’t got a French Tote account. Can’t find it anywhere on any betting account I’ve got
Was going to take the boat over to Deauville but the cost of petrol to get there wasn’t worth the bet

Not often you see Spencer get there too early

No, you don’t FF. But the usual drift to the inside cost her the race.

I can’t knock Spencer for that – his filly stays 1m2f well and he’s just been unlucky to get done on the line by a rival superbly nursed to get the trip.
