However, I can’t seem to be able to find any horse entered in the Prix D’Isphahan. Last years one two, Goldikova and Byword not entered? Unless…. do you know if the entries are out yet?
Entries for the Ispahan not out yet, supposed to happen on same day that Arc entries released: Wed 4th May.
To look up races, just go to main website then "Horseracing Professionals" then "Races" and "Races by date and by racecourse". Then choose the date in the top left and click search, and all meetings for that date show up. Click the track (e.g. Longchamp) and the races show up, click the race and see if there are horses entered yet.
April 29, 2011 at 21:11 #352750I think Cirrus des Aigles needs 12f to show his best, although the pacemaker will help. Still, I don’t expect him to be a winning chance.

Looking through the field it appears to be packed full of staying types who might find this trip a bit on the short side on good ground
I expect Planteur and Cape Blanco to finish 1-2 in that order………haven’t seen any odds yet

April 30, 2011 at 09:34 #352789Anybody wanting to back Cape Blanco should absolutely take a PMU price (write PMU on the slip or take an SP price). He was 15.0 this morning, currently 6.8. Planteur’s 2.0. There is very little chance of Cape Blanco going off smaller than 4/1 on the PMU.
April 30, 2011 at 14:26 #352848It says Prix Ganay 2011.04.30-Longchamps. What does it mean?Today is 2011.04.30. Where is the Ganay?
On another thread it says Two Thousand Guineas-Newmarket 7/5/2011. What does it all mean? Why am I confused?April 30, 2011 at 14:33 #352854Can’t find it.The Ganay (The Card ) in The Sporting Life. Read the result on the Blog from Newmarket.

It was a pretty straight forward win for Planteur and a good effort from Sarafina in second. The mare should find a few nice races over a mile and a half like the Prix Vermeille. The winner should continue to be hard to beat in anything at ten furlongs. Cape Blanco looks to be on the decline.

The Life seem to have abandonned French racing and the Post leave it till the last minute before putting the cards up………..
I wonder if there’s been some problem with publication contracts or fees ?

Not that it had any bearing on the result, but I’ll swear I saw the jockey on Planteur’s pacemaker look round as he moved out to let his stablemate through when his horse was weakening, saw Sarafina on his outside – and deliberately took her ground unnecessarily?
