18 clowance gb f.ps. 6 ans P2 56,5 *** SEASONS HOLIDAYS RJ. CHARLTON 36.436Doubt if St Nicholas Abbey will stay in past tomorrow, more likely they’ll send him for the Mooresbridge Stakes at the Curragh on 2nd May. No idea about the other 2 Ballydoyle runners. Planteur has to be the favourite after his Harcourt run, but big threats from Cirrus des Aigles and Sarafina. Also wary of Wiener Walzer.
April 25, 2011 at 21:38 #352179I have always held Planteur in the highest regard – backed him for the Arc before the Prix Du Jockey Club last year, but always felt that he would develop into a cracking 4YO.
He was very impressive on his latest outing and could very well travel over for the Prince Of Wales and Eclipse.
I hope he wins well.
April 25, 2011 at 21:49 #352182Planteur destroys anything he runs in. Stone cold Sunday banker.
Cirrus des Aigles the danger, Longchamp specialist. Wouldn’t be too concerned about Sarafina given the weather we’ve been having, also on her seasonal reappearance.

Zarkava
On both form and breeding, Sarafina should have no problem with faster ground, and being asked to take on the colts on her re-appearance suggests she’ll lack nothing in fitness.
As the one genuinely unlucky horse in last year’s Arc, I’d treat her with a deal more respect than you seem to.April 26, 2011 at 08:41 #352218Anybody know where I can see the full card ?
I’ve been to the Arc and love Longchamp, although I’ve never been to this meeting but that’s going to change this Saturday

I’ve looked on France-Galop but can’t find what’s running or even a list of races.

Still struggling to actually find the supporting races and associated entries but I’ll just wait until the weekend.
The Ganay’s the one I want to see anyway.
Cheers, Lee

It’s there on France Galop, but I can’t post the link because you have to navigate there (Horseracing Professionals >> Races >> By date & racecourse).
April 26, 2011 at 18:06 #352287Just went to that Google translation site. They are all there. The supporting races and the riders and trainers.
April 26, 2011 at 19:09 #352294Telluride and Timos were pulled out at today’s forfeit stage, the other 16 horses are still entered.
Saw an article that AOB will run Cape Blanco, so maybe SNA and Jan Vermeer won’t be declared on Thursday.
Looks like Wildenstein and Aga Khan will run pacemakers in there for Planteur/Sarafina respectively. Wonder if that will actually make it a well-run race…
April 27, 2011 at 01:26 #352338Since Cape Blanco ran in Dubai I suspect that Aidan is strongly influenced by what the Hay’s want.Janvermeer and SNA are completely Coolmore owned.
April 28, 2011 at 12:20 #352536Anyone know where I can find Big Race (future) Entries for French racing?
Trying to find out if there are any early (before end of June). French entries for:
Helleborine, Espirita, Lily Of The Valley and Behkabad.
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately nothing so easy as the Racing Post feature which I assume you had in mind. If your French is good, you may be able to find something better than I have, but best I can manage is searching manually on France Galop. You can either search by date if you know a race’s scheduled date (usually the race will be run 1 date earlier than last year) or search declarations/entries by horse. For your requests:
Helleborine:
Pouliches (15/5/2011)
Saint-Alary (22/5/2011)
Diane (12/6/2011)Espirita:
Same 3 plus
Coronation Stakes (17/6/2011)Lily of the Valley:
No entriesBehkabad:
No entriesFor Behkabad, I have heard that he is being thought of for the Grand Prix de Chantilly (entries not yet out) and King George & QE Stakes (entries not yet out). Arc entries out on May 4th, in case anyone is interested.
April 28, 2011 at 22:44 #352631Thanks Bahram,
Taken a look at France Galop, can’t work out the looking up races thing. Have done a bit on looking up horses entries. However, I can’t seem to be able to find any horse entered in the Prix D’Isphahan. Last years one two, Goldikova and Byword not entered? Unless…. do you know if the entries are out yet?
Thanks again.

Value Is EverythingApril 28, 2011 at 22:57 #352634Just found an old article on Racing Post website dated 18th April, quoting Teddy Grimthorpe as saying Byword is being aimed at a rematch with Goldikova.
