Quite like Roseman today, they expect him to improve as a 4 year old, he ran okay first time out in the Queen Anne and pitching him in at group 1 level again they seem to be aiming high. He blasted a half decent group 3 field last time out last season, so has potential and enjoys a bit of cut in the ground which he looks likely to have later. 9f also looks likely to suit, they might just have found a really nice group 1 for him today. I’m not usually a backer of EW at low odds but with Persian King in the race it might be the wiser option

    Roseman 5/1 EW

A drift is usually a worry but the 11/2 (EW) Motomarris (356,Sky,BV) is too big. Bit to find on Jockey Club form with Persian King, but is worth a few shillings to turn that form around. Versatile in running style (has made it) which he proved by looking good on his comeback run when held up.

    Good luck if you play

I would not be surprised but just thought is not a bit on the short side distance wise for him today?

i think with Shaman in the field there should be enough pace, if not Motamarris can go from the front(well that’s my plan ;-) )

I’m with Frenchy and think Roseman can give his half brother something to think about this afternoon. He ran a good 4th to Circus Maximus in Group 1 company last month and would have been closer had he not (dwelt at the start and been waiting for room (as stated on RP) at 5/1 also worth putting in reverse forecast with Persian King. Good luck..Jac :good:

I backed persian king. Done a double with the lir jet what let me down then I backed persian king what was my original bet I was going to do. I put the lir jet in to boost the odds to 2/1. I finished the day up but I am still down £6 on the week. Live and learn. Darian is meant to run on Friday at Newmarket what will hit ante post.

Shocking run from Roseman, looked all at sea. Drifted before the race and the ground was officially Good in the end. Could’ve been that but the Queen Anne form takes another battering. I think it’s PK against Palace Pier next no? Can’t wait for that one

Wouldn’t think any horse could give weight to Palace Pier at the rate he is improving

Would imagine Palace Pier would be a lot shorter than PK. Not sure PK is that good personally. Solid performer but nothing spectacular and Palace Pier looked very very good at Ascot
