Hurricane lane 12/1 to add to vadeni and hope he wins nicely tomorrow
July 10, 2022 at 18:48 #1606447Looks wide open this year and been quietly snapping up some fancy prices on the exchanges since her last run on French Derby day
Baiykara @ 65.0
Broke her maiden in a G3 in impressive fashion despite wandering all over the place. The interesting thing was the interview the jockey gave after he won the French Derby. Basically to me it sounded like Vadeni was totally a good ground 10F horse and this one was to be aimed at the Arc and taking the Prix Vermaille on route to it. You could just tell the excitement he had for her by the way he spoke
Has an entry in a G2 on Thursday at Longchamp which hopefully gives her a bit more experience before stepping up the next rung of the ladder.
July 10, 2022 at 18:58 #1606448On a side note it looks like a few people have backed Vadeni for this so if cash out is available there is a few quid available at 40.0 on the exchange for this. Nothing written in stone mind you.
July 30, 2022 at 20:56 #1609600Desert Crown out for season with look at possible return next season as 4years old
VF x
July 30, 2022 at 21:59 #1609603Looking like a piss poor renewal at this stage
Surely connections will run Vadeni, they’d be mad not to
August 1, 2022 at 21:30 #1609788Had to backed Pyledriver at 14’s
the race is falling apart and he just keeps getting betterGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
August 1, 2022 at 22:54 #1609800Same Nathan I added Pyledriver after his victory at 16s.
Already on Vadeni alsoVF x
August 13, 2022 at 13:06 #1610916Luxembourg 16-1 ew free bet.
They might go for it if he’s recovered.Trainer since last win says Vadeni is a 10f horse on good ground so will leave him be for now.
August 13, 2022 at 14:39 #1610939Alpinista is interesting and has been laid out for the race and comfortably beat last year’s winner nearly 3L and she has form on all ground from firm (gasp) to soft and is currently on a run of 4 straight G1 wins albeit the less fashionable G1 races.
She overcame Sir Mark abysmal stable form at the time to win on her delayed seasonal debut and she is due to run at York next week (interestingly she also holds an entry in the Irish St Leger next month) and you would think if all goes well at York, her Arc prep would then be either the Prix Vermeille of Prix Foy…..she seems to be an Autumn mare and we know how good a record they have in the Arc.
Currently 8s (bigger than last year’s winner is who she beat) but she still seems to be going under the radar somewhat as a serious contender.
August 14, 2022 at 15:41 #1611084I agree LD, shed be who i was with right now
August 14, 2022 at 15:46 #1611085In a normal year I’d say she has no chance
Her best form is beating torquator tasso but that was on good ground and we’ve seen he’s miles better on soft ground as shown in this last year
But it’s really not looking like it’s going to be a strong renewal at this stage so she can’t be ruled out
August 15, 2022 at 20:56 #1611193“Al Hakeem more of a hail mary at 33s but I’m hopeful he wins nicely next time out and makes that look a massive price”
Won his first run since the French Derby today
Looking like a step up to 1m4f and an end to end gallop would see him to much better effect
I’m assuming if rouget isn’t going to run Vadeni this lad will be his main hope
Was his first run for 70 days today, assuming he had been freshened up with an autumn campaign in mind and they will have left something to work on
Do really like his breeding, being by siyouni out of a galileo mare, same as sotsass and St Marks basilica
This doesn’t look a vintage renewal and I’m a bit more hopeful about my 33s
He’s now a general 16-20/1 shot
August 18, 2022 at 15:44 #1611645Game win from alpinista, never looked like getting passed despite luke Morris whirling around like a windmill on her back
But surely not near to Arc winning form that
August 18, 2022 at 15:50 #1611647Given by the time the arc comes the 3yos are getting less weight by then and the weight allowance from the colts,
Unless something else drastically improves, your going to have to run 122+ to beat her, has anything this season ran to that over 12f on winter ground and confirmed the form nto, all the 3yo forms terrible, if tuesday cant beat her now she wont getting another 2lb off her either
I was happy with that
August 18, 2022 at 15:52 #1611648My first thought too and Tuesday trainer must have been a little disappointed not to have been able to get on top even with decent dispensation
But take nothing away from the winner who beat whats put out.
Well done to Luke Morris the whirling dervish.August 18, 2022 at 16:01 #1611650On my numbers, even with the 3lb gender allowance, it would have to be a sub-standard Arc for her to win it.
But maybe it will be a sub-standard Arc?

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"August 18, 2022 at 16:01 #1611651Race wasn’t run to suit her (Sir Mark before the race was thinking she might have to make it herself) but she keeps finding, may not be the sexy choice or the superstar with the big visual performance going into the race but quite often the Arc is won by the less flashy type of horse.
The one thing you know about her is that she won’t care what the ground is like, she is versatile tactics wise and if it comes to a battle she won’t be shirking the issue – she only seems to do just what is required so you never really know what she has left.
