The situation that would infuriate me most, would Joseph O ‘Brien being given the ride. Now that really wouldn’t fulfil the "best jockey available" criteria, nor natural justice for Heffernan.
But are Coolmore as unreasonable as the NTD situation re jockeys and nepotism (allegedly)

With the extra entries it will be more important than ever.

That won’t happen. The Asian part owner stopped it last time and he will stop it again.

If you draw past barrier 14 you’re in trouble. That’s why getting ”cover” in the pack is vitally important. If you’re three-four wide all the way you’ll be running 2600m. Obviously the shortest way home is on the fence.

It was rumoured to have been decided yesterday morning that Joseph O’Brien would ride. As the news left Ballydoyle, it sparked an alarming drift on Betfair.

Of course, this isn’t a problem for me. I’ve backed the horse already and would not be concerned in the slightest that O’Brien Jnr is riding.

Andyod, on the other hand, appears to think that putting a jockey up on the horse, who’s never even sat on him, would be the answer? Hmmmmmmmmmm…..I wonder sometimes about this guy Andyod. Are all his bets jockey motivated or does he study the horse’s form?

Anyway, it’s O’Brien or Heffernan, so Andyod may give it up with this thread.

The closer to the race you get the more unreal the "best available jockey" theory becomes. The whole thing is a laugh sadly.Aidan will have his way with OD,Heffo and Joseph all riding in the ARC for fun.Michael

Tabor seems to have distanced himself from the whole mess!Watch this page

Where is the evidence for the words in bold?

Anyone know whether Danedream will be supplemented?

There is "much noise" in German racing-press to supplement Danedream on Thursday:

He was at Royal Ascot with his wife, Doreen, leading in all four winners. I’m almost fairly sure he was at Leopardstown for the Irish Champion too. Anyway you’re belief that Tabor is annoyed about jockey bookings is based upon his apparant non-appearance at some race meetings (which is presumably because he hasn’t been in front of TV cameras?)? I won’t even bother debating that !!!

His presence is reasuring at this crazy time for Ballydoyle. I trust his wisdom is reflected in the choice of jockeys.I have no betting interest as I said just a worry that what was the original plan for jockeys seems to have gone out the window since by the time they now get to pick all the good jockeys are booked up.As I said if SYT wins the Arc I will cry with joy ,otherwise….

Bloke who does the going reports from Longchamp is not a Reliable Man.

Suspect the "watering" is to try and keep certain horses like Reliable Man in the race.

If Seamie is riding, I will back him. If Joseph is on, I shall not.

I went to the Arc in 2003 and was in Paris all week, it was a glorious autumn and the ground was firm on the Sunday previous.
Despite no rain whatsoever that week, on the day of the Arc the going was bottomless. It had been very heavily watered to the benefit of Dalakhani and it totally scuppered High Chaparral.
We got talking to a local turfiste and he insisted that the Arc ground was always prepared to assist the leading French hope.

Home game…fair enough I suppose. I would predict good to soft as Sarafina and Reliable Man will like that and Galikova will only be slightly inconvenienced.

If reports are correct Danedream will be supplemented. You can pick holes in many of these and having shown a real change of pace on different surfaces she appeals as the best outsider.
