As stated I got on orfevre at 25s the good thing with the non runners is if he doesn’t win I won’t be thinking maybe it was on off day because in all honesty there is no better chance than now.
It’s funny after snow fairy and danedream I joked to a mate maybe shareta will fall sick and Saonois €100,000 Entry fee won’t clear… A few hours later instead nathaniel issick,I’m starting to believe it’s fate orfevre will win!
It’s a french conspiracy orfevre going down next.
Just kidding.

To be honest: that happened to Shirocco when Rail Link won the Arc.
October 2, 2012 at 18:38 #414962Gobsmacked at these withdrawals but financially I’m outa here. Having backed Snow fairy then laid her before she was withdrawn now OfVerve who I backed at bog odds has been cut to the bone I’ll be laying him which leaves me with the first horse I back and he wasn’t even going to run a week ago.
I still think Orverve oozes class and will win but I’ll take the cash and run and hope Sea Moon who will love the ground can bounce back to his best.
October 2, 2012 at 18:53 #414964Looking like Camelot has been invited to the party!
Going out on the limb here….
To curse up and lead by a nose on the bridle and then kick clear three to 4 lenghts winner.(analysis based on good ground)
Will go off favourite, he`s 5/4 in my book!
October 2, 2012 at 19:48 #414968Get serious, the 3 year olds are useless this year— Camelot is a talking horse to beat all before him and I doubt he will contend.
Last years form looks best to me now that the 3 best are out but the draw is important— given a single figure it is SHARETA for me.

are you referring to camelot as useless as well? if so, i can’t see how you can justify that. irrelevant of the quality of the field, you still have to be good to actually win the race. donkeys dont win guineas and derbys!!
besides, there is no older horse that is screaming to be backed anyway, despite the japanese triple crown winner.
if camelot turns up, he wins.
October 3, 2012 at 10:53 #22742Just been announced on ATR that Frankie Dettori has landed the plum ride on Camelot in the ARC <!– s:D –>

At-least some good news as well from a racing perspective after all the withdraws!

Indeed and no doubt the withdrawals make it much easier it is still a brave decision by Ballydoyle.

Yes, A O`Brien usually not afraid to run a horse.
October 3, 2012 at 13:20 #415056I thought Buick might be offered the ride.Since Frankie is no longer No.1 jockey to Godolphin I suppose he can ride whatever he gets if not wanted by them.
October 3, 2012 at 13:53 #415062Haven’t kept up to date with things, but is JOB riding St Nicholas Abbey then?
October 3, 2012 at 14:15 #415063Correct.Cannot do the weight on Camelot
October 3, 2012 at 14:26 #415066As Aidan always says "the lads will decide".So I guess the "lads" decided to go with Frankie after all.The Irish "Mafia" made peace with the Italian "Mafia"!
October 3, 2012 at 14:27 #415067One of the positives put up for Orfevre is that Soumillon has chosen to ride him. Sounds great but including the recent defections what else was he going to ride?
October 3, 2012 at 14:52 #415071What a strange race it’s turning into. Was gutted to hear about Danedream, but at least Camelot’s participation makes it more interesting again. Did this all show up on the Ladbrokes site, I wonder?
