Ginge – He may have sweated up in races in the past but it would not have been under those weather conditions, we know how quickly a groom will chuck buckets of water over their horses to get their core temps down on normal days let alone in blazing hot conditions like it was yesterday.

Don’t get me wrong, I think LA is a good bordering on very good horse but he has had his limitations exposed at the very highest level at both 10 & 12F, I do however see a strongly run King George (where at 12F he can sit a bit off the pace) suiting him much better than forcing tactics over 10F.

Whilst Anmaat seems to handle all ground conditions, I also think he will be better suited to the likely easier Autumn ground conditions and I wouldn’t put it past him winning again on Champions Day if conditions were similar especially given that some of his rivals might be going there as an after thought rather than it being a set out target.

“TRF’s own Kevin Blake. Well done Ginge”.. :yahoo:

    LOL
I’ve been called TRF’s Timeform Jim McGrath before, but I’ll take that, Jac. :good:

Certainly Anmaat’s best chance of another Group 1 will be the Champion on a softer surface, LD. Not that I believe he’s capable of a better rating on the surface. Just that he’s so good at Ascot and many 10f horses won’t act on soft. That said, judged on the Brigadier Gerard Ombudsman should.
