Not sure if I am allowed talk about other sport on this forum, but as I am new I will give it a shot, and if I am not allowed then please accept my apologies in advance.

Ok, I love sports betting and I had a few bets lined up this weekend that could do me a good turn, plus a few bets I could have over the weekend that I fancied.

My first bet was a Henin – V.Williams final in the Womens Singles at Wimbledon, but that went pear shaped when Henin lost in the semi’s yesterday. I also backed Fasth and Monty and 18/1 and 25/1 respectively to win the European Masters golf, and after 2 rounds they were one shot behind and sitting very pretty. I decided not to lay any of them off as I still fancied the winner would be Fasth or Monty. Today they have had had poor rounds at best and are now 3 and 4 shots off the lead respectively. OK, they still have a chance of winning but I feel a bit gutted about todays rounds.

Then there was the Eclips today. I didn’t have a bet in the race but I felt a bit deflated after the race because Authorized didn’t win as like most, I wanted him to be a ‘wonder horse’. So far then the tennis, golf and racing hasn’t gone to plan, but there are always more irons in the fire with me.

I backed Dilemma’s Flight before the Quarter Finals of the Greyhound Derby at 18/1. She has now made the final with ease, and though she still has a great chance, I will definitely be laying her off as she is boxed in 3, and would have preferred a wide draw.

So part of the tennis, golf and racing has gone without success for me, but we still have a terrifice greyhound card this evening at Wimbledon, the golf both tonight and tomorrow (US and European), the Mens Singles final at Wimbledon tomorrow (weather permitting) and not forgetting the British Grand Prix were Lewis Hamilton secured pole and looks a cracking bet at slight odds against to land his home prize.

This sports betting lark can be quite hectic, but there are definitely some good bets out there I hope. Good luck to all who invest this weekend.

    Mike

    Monty 1st
    Fasth 2nd

Thankfully this result salvaged my ‘sports betting’ weekend lol.
